Why do multi-box players think they keep servers going? I'm kinda old but kinda new, forgive me if it's an inside joke or something.

Why do multi-box players think they keep servers going? I'm kinda old but kinda new, forgive me if it's an inside joke or something.
There is kinda an assumption that at this point 20-30% of the population multiboxes, with more veteran players being more likely to multi.

This is sort of off topic, but why not.
Its been a long time since I did Voidwatch, and what has been keeping me away has been less bots (They were there then, will only be more of them now) but dealing with the treasure chest at the end.
Is there some kind of addon to make dealing with the box faster? The worst part is always getting my inventory clogged with non-ilvl r/ex gear that keeps me from quickly clearing the box and getting on to the next pop. How are you guys mitigating that issue?
