Mastery Rank Data

I'm not super sure, because I did notice even before the mastery update that it felt like I was really far behind to even hit rank 8 compared to most others. A lot of folks here reported hitting rank 8 with a lot of stuff undone and in the 900s for titles, but I basically had 98% of the stuff above done and ~1025 titles before the game gave me rank 8 myself. My assumption was monstrosity or maybe even character age since this account is newer than most others.

I might be able to get Crystal Paradise done in the next couple months depending when people want to do it, and I'm actively working on the last V25s as well. I need to settle in for the 500 mazes I'm missing at some point (but some people, like Mischief, also don't have that either). Obviously I'll keep checking my rank after new accomplishments, there's just less and less of them available outside of monstrosity which I've been putting off haha.

I should probably try to buy a bunch of spheres during this new years event as well to try and work on finishing my shield as well, just to check that box off.

At the moment, my WIP stuff (rough order) is something like:

1. Finishing last 5 windurst campaign ops
2. Finishing last three V25 fights
3. Complete Crystal Paradise
4. Finish last DI vorseals (one a day due to lazy)
5. Finish last 500 MMM mazes
6. Finish smithing shield final stage
7. Commit to the monstrosity grind

I have a full suspicion that even doing the first 5 won't change anything, maybe even finishing the shield too. But at that point it would be pretty easy to isolate monstrosity (or some other factor) as the limiting factor as basically everything else is done lol.

Monstrosity would be the most likely since I basically have 1-6 done and we're very similar content completion wise but I'm still rank 8. If you can do that then we can fairly reliably say the first four MT are a requirement for rank 9.

Do the Limbus RoEs still count? I'm at 1070/1084, 4 of which are Escutcheon RoEs. I'm guessing the other 10 could be the colored Chips from old Limbus if those are counted as part of the 1084, though I don't recall ever setting the Proto-Omega/Ultima RoEs when I killed them, so I don't know for sure.

I just went from Rank 7 to 8 after gathering the last few survival guide warps I was missing.

I'd assume they "count" but aren't "required" for a rank, as in they're just extra points towards ranking but now can't be obtained any more. Given that most of the people with rank 9 posted here and have lots they still haven't done, there's probably a decent "buffer" of points. And of course, the earring goes up to rank 10 which we're all assuming isn't even possible yet (unless the final two master trials count for like 1000x as much as other things do)

Sorry, I mainly meant are people counting Limbus as part of the supposed 1084 max RoE objectives to complete.

Hadron how many titles/RoE do you have? I just got the last warps/hps I needed and I am still Rank 7. 636 titles, 714 RoE

1084 includes Limbus objectives.

I have 12 Relic, 8 Empyrean, 5 Mythic, 14 Aeonic, 2 Ergon, 1 Stage4 Prime.

I... Completed the quest 'Scooped!' and then dinged as soon as I finished it. That was quest 1094 complete which isn't particularly interesting, but it was the last quest I needed to do in Windurst for 100% quest completion.

This isn't strictly on topic but seems like the right place to ask. Anyone know how Denim Pants +1 work? My memory is that they add new super rare items to the chocobo digging loot pool and then kill your dig rate, but bias it towards the rare items. Do they only bias it towards the _new_ rare items, or any rare items? I'm trying to dig up Kaolin in Wajaom Woodlands and have gotten zero so far today.

Anecdotal, it feels like it's just the rarest items like HMP/other currencies. I don't recall a huge shift in the 'VR' Philosopher's stones with or without Denim in West Altepa.

Checking - Kaolin in woodlands is a Bore item, per http://www.ffxiah.com/forum/topic/52191/chocobo-digging-observations/#3338652. It's also from the Bore pool in thickets and mire.

My bore character has never dug any of the 3 zones, so I can't speak to rarity there.

If you don't have Bore, the only zone with Kaolin in the general pool is Fort Karugo-Narugo [S]. I was getting ~5 Kaolin/day there (100 stamina/blue silks) the last time it was in my digging rotation. There was only 1 day I got 0 kaolin out of ~30.

Did all of bastok Quest & over 60% of Sandy Quest & went from rank 6 to 7. I focused on the ones that gave titles & didn't need teamups. Did the quest "the sweetest things & exit the gambler"

How are you counting 1094 quests? Are you adding up all of the completed quests from the Quests screens? Or do you mean 1094 completed RoE objectives?

RoE and quests are separate things.

I just made a sheet with all the quests from old wiki (they have them nicely sorted in how they appear in the menu) and then check them off from there.

Do you mind sharing it? I currently generate a report from Titles only ..I could expand my report further a simple addon and your sheet as a reliable data source.

I am building an Eschuteon and am up to 1082/1084 RoE as a result. I will be on to rank 4 pretty soon. Also finished blue magic and got the new mount. Still rank 8 of course.

Back for free campaign, got the new Hoxne Earring from Trove.. only Rank 6 Mastery and i doubt I'll be going up in Rank anytime soon.

Our long national nightmare is exactly 50% over. 25 more wins to go. Also the C1 cup but I'm raising a second, better-at-racing, chocobo.

This post got me thinking. Switchstix does seem to know if you've started making a relic weapon before (he offers to let you reset progress and start again if you approach him with the matching base weapon). So... I made all the rest of the 75 relic weapons (+11).

I'm still rank 8.

I can do the ToM for them and eventually get them to 119, but I doubt that matters for Mastery Rank.

It would be absolutely evil and cruel if the game actually tracked magian trials and every one counted towards mastery rank. There's what, 5000+ of them?
