Nope. I had started the bare-bones of a page, went away, came back a day later, and it had been formatted. Not that it was anything terrible and they were likely just trying to be helpful, but it felt dirty-dirty with other people having the ability to edit it. I decided to just keep a text doc on my own computer to mess with (and then didn't do anything with it).

Thank you, Asura.Qehn. That was something like what I was expecting to have existed, but wasn't sure how to go about google'ing things in other languages for proper results.

What is your recommended approach for grinding out hoardbox and hoardbox+094 runes? Can every rune drop from every maze? I've only been running maze 9 currently because easy. I just added 094 to the mix, so I'll see if any fancy things drop, but I also want to make sure I can get all the runes eventually on the way to 1000 clears.

Ok maybe not 1000 clears since that's crazy, but at least 100 clears for third title and however many other runs to get all runes, ha

Oh, and how many total runes are there? I count 100, but I saw 109/109 on your profile

This webpage has a pretty comprehensive guide (which you'll want, since the goblin escort MMM is kind of complex and has some unique rune drops), which includes a spreadsheet that shows which runes are normal hoardbox drops and which require 94.

There's no comprehensive rune drop list for the more generic ones, but FFXIclopedia has incomplete lists of non-94 rune drops on some of their maze pages.

I think my quest to get all maze runes is over before it even started. I don't seem to have maze rune 109 registered and uhhh... that's one of the runes you are given at the very beginning and can't get any other way. I have the other one 106 registered, so I must have tossed 109 yeeeaarrssss ago and had no idea till now.

How far back do the logs the GMs can access for item restoration go, ha. Like can I say, oh yeah hey this happened like 11, 12, or 13 years ago probably, can I get this item back? <_< >_>

Not looking forward to any of the new grind, but requesting that anyone doing it check your mastery rank every once in a while to see if master levels contribute to potential rank ups

I am only at rank 7, with something like 950 quests done, >1050 RoE quests done, and plenty of titles.

We focused primarily on titles from the beginning, since those are easy from a self-tracking perspective. But really it is everything, and we've seen people have rank ups from titles, logging a single new homepoint, and a few other things. The starting point is things like missions and quest completions.

above is not fully updated, and not representative of a starter rank 8. I've been trying for 9 for a while now. Also, the only thing I wouldn't put too much faith in being "tracked" by the game is hunt quests, but I have those counted and listed in the event that I have every single other piece of content in the game completed. As far as I know, there is no hunt quest checklist, and that's good because it basically amounts to "kill literally every NM in the game, but only after you talk to do this book"

Also, I'm under the belief that there are certain "gatekeeper" titles and/or achievements a person needs to do to rank up at times. Mostly because we've seen rank ups happen on some very specific titles more often than not (quadav beastking was one, jormungand we just had a rank up, I ranked up from fiat lux at some point, etc)

I know it's kind of a *** answer, but we really haven't figured anything out except a general idea of how much is required for certain ranks based on checklists /shrug

Eiryl is the only one that has tried to do controlled testing (from rank 1 to rank 2 I believe), so he would be the person to ask about that since I can't remember exactly what he did to rank up

How do you count the number of titles you have?

Honestly just get more titles. What you consider "plenty" means "not enough" It's that simple.

That's the single easiest thing you can do. Get another title. And another title. And another title. (knowing your count and what to aim for)


The only way to do that, is by literally doing that. Manually counting them at the title changers. it blows.

But on the plus side... Eiryl has a list he made with what they are and where to get them!

A bit out of date now, but only in the sense that it would be missing the latest voracious resurgence titles.

It was a fun process to figure out titles in the first place, because before this there wasn't concise info on quite a few titles in NA sources/wikis, so we got a lot figured out from the JP members and wikis as well! thanks everyone!

But yes... spreadsheets, and word docs... I have 6 excel sheets for this kind of mastery rank crap now, ha. All in seperate files and I have no idea why when I could just put then on different pages in the same file. eh

You have to go to each title changer in each city, they all have different sets of titles. AND some overlap.

Those are the title npcs, a lot of them have overlap on titles, but with a spreadsheet at least its done when its done. And theres a big numbered list of titles on bgwiki at the title page that is perfect for spreadsheeting!

We do/did too. It would have been/would be incredible if windower/guildwork got functional tracking again. But there's no breath holding going on anymore. (ave is holding their breath for all of us now lol)

I know that the client is sent a single title at a time (your current title), but I'm not sure there's a packet that tells it all the titles that you could have if you visited a title changer. Hopefully I'm wrong (will check), but if not then it's possible they were collecting the single titles they observed and made a longish list of titles that is not authoritative.

we don't think so. Personally to flush titles to GW I had to manually set each title, enter in and out of the status menu twice where it shows the title, and then flush.

And I only did this after we started the mastery rank grind. So I doubt anyone else that isn't me or Rosalee has a completely update title list on there (minus whatever is on there yet or new since it stopped working)

I figure that it may be possible to pull a packet that has all the possible titles that you could in theory get from a changer.

But the few people that I asked about it said it was too much work but possible in theory.

Yeah, that's what I expected and unfortunately makes the list kind of useless if you're trying to figure out all the titles you are missing.

Writing something that scans the NPCs for available titles (just have to talk to each bard once) might be a faster path to victory.

That would be nice. At least we could convince more people to mess around with this crap if something like that existed.

That was my ELI5 "can you do this" simply export a list of availables, but again, no one was really interested in helping "me" do it cause I'm me. Ignoring the fact that it was not in fact "for me".
