FYI if you're buying Conquest items for the titles, make sure you buy the items with the title in the name or you won't actually get the title (ie green scarf vs combat casters cloak for "combat caster" title)

(I have also been grinding from rank 6-7, am currently @679 quests, 664 titles, hoping to report some r7 stats soon!)

You're the 4th person to be rank 6 with 6XX titles, it's too weird for one person to be an outlier.

Then again there is a -serious- lack of data points.

I need to examine FFOwiki to see if they figured out the conditions that are necessary for those certain campaign ops to be accessible. I don't remember which they are atm though.

There really are too many details to list about things, but I'm happy to answer any specific questions about what progress I've made in certain areas.

If rank 8 is real, you need an absolutely humongous pile of ***to get it. Like ***, everything that exists. And I mean, e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g.

Hit rank four explicitly by mastering a job. (2nd job) ((464 titles)) being master new job was title 465 (((rank 4 465 titles still fits the "pattern")))

That is EXACTLY how it happened. rank 3 > finished spending job points > instantly rank 4. I did have to zone. I checked immediately, no change. Zoned. Changed.

Now. That explains my rank 2 last week. I got title 175(6) check check check check ... zone.... accidentally check, rank 2

So; if 464 titles is "worth" 464 "points" and 2 Masters and 2 Aeonics = "500 points" then... "profit"
175 + 1 aeonic = "200 points" = rank 2 (?)
(rough numbers, I have no *** clue, I'm just throwing ***against the wall)

If you understand nothing about what I just said, I can 100% confirm that mastering a job counts in some way. be it "point value" or "rank requirement"

If it really is some crazy background point system that takes literally everything in the game into account, they put a lot more work into this than I thought they would be capable of with like 2 devs

OR, that is why it seemed like it took them a month to add the stupid assist channel and everyone was like "wtf is this, who cares". Maybe the assist channel took a week and the other 3 weeks were computing out mastery rank calculations and how it would work.

I mean, "points" my default original "this is definitely the answer" is really simple.

It's likely not weighted "appropriately" it's just a simple yes/no deal. it's not finishing SOA is worth 10 more "points" than WOTG cause "reasons" it's just they're both 10 "points"

Or 1, cause only the title matters and not "finishing a storyline"
(again still just guess work, but based on history)

So, let's try to look at this objectively here. If a "point value" is what it takes to rank, in my quest from 3 to 4 (only things from 3-4)

What counts... how many points is all this ***worth?

6 Main crafts 0-70
Fishing 0-50
Combat and Magic skills it's hard to be exact, maybe two thousand from where I was at rank 3
No medals to Medal of Altana
All 3 Stared Meebles and bosses
The whole VW set zero > prov all ki
The whole event line of Abyssea to Killing Shinryu (no procing very few KI)
Maybe 300 ROEs
A bunch of AF 5/5 (questlines and titles) in order whm > bst
The mini Xpacks asa acp amk
"opened" MMM (cleared one to start collecting CC)
Mog Garden ranked up from maybe 555555 to 776666
A couple rearing KI
Handful of simple fetch quests (maybe 10....)
Obtained roughly 115 titles
Mastered a job
Oh, yeah, opened a hundred homepoints, a hundred confluxes, 50ish waypoints.

(58 days 20 hours, nothing that feels like a wall like 60 days would've)

What about subscription time vs playtime? What are you at there for that char? It’s possible they are able to tell says subbed instead of playtime and they are using that as one of the metrics like veteran rewards in FFXIV.

If you want to go acquire 200 titles and never do a single mission.... or obtain any trust, or craft, or skill up, or unlock any jobs.

It's safe to simply call it points and officially stop there. Finding the point values is an unreasonable task.

It's either X/200 - Titles = 1, rema = 10~25, Master = 10~25

The same general idea, but it's X/10000 and e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g. is worth 1 point, like Axe skill +1 = 1, Cooking Skill +1 = 1, 1 Mission = 1

Relatively painless, one of the early ones, pretty simple supertank, hell RUN might be able to solo it with turms and walling the mobs so you can parry them all.

Killing Za'Dha Adamantking (present version) ranked me up from 7 to 8. I had already killed the Orc/Yagudo present kings, so I assume all three were needed.

Other relevant information:

Also, for now let's pretend the last two ranks come from getting the silver/gold flags in the assist chat, even though that's a completely separate thing. It will make me feel better considering how much one has to do just for rank 8 to begin with

Title count: 925. Still rank 7. (Recompleted "It Sets My Heart Aflutter" for the 3rd time and "Ulbulkan Stalwart" title, killed "true" versions of Orcus/Blobdingnag with shadows.) Also unlocked Quietus.

Starting to reexamine my Campaign Ops clears and I have been able to find little to no information about what exactly triggers certain ops to be available, such as Smokescreen III/IV.

I just unlocked homepoint to Attowah chasm and received a rank up from 4-5
