Sea Obis + Relic Head/Body
Will the sea obis force the -3 perpetuation to proc on SMN Relic Head/Body?
LMAO. Are you really asking if a peice of gear that only works on certain day/weather can make something that only works on certain day/weather work on days it's not supposed?

Apparently I misunderstood how the obis worked. Try being less of a *** next time. it can work if you have a sch cast the right spell per the avatar.
Um it's like a really really dumb question just look at the text on the obi. Don't worry I'd do the same to someone asking if assualt gear worked in nyzul isle assault... which is on par with this
Gonna sum this up.
No, Obis will not activate AFv2 head/body And unfortunately, they do not make the 10% increase in magic damage on same day 100% unlike magic spells. I think he was referring to the salvage part. I'm just referring to Das being a *** to someone that asked a simple question.

wow...I would've thought a simple "no they will not" would've been appropriate...not a "LMFAO IN YOUR FACE YOU NOOB DO YOUR RESEARCH!"...

Whats next you don't know if it works in Leujaoam assaults cause it doesn't specify them either? Garuda.Fivestarplayer said: wow...I would've thought a simple "no they will not" would've been appropriate...not a "LMFAO IN YOUR FACE YOU NOOB DO YOUR RESEARCH!"... If by research you mean reading the text on the item then yes you should do your research. Ramuh.Dasva said: If by research you mean reading the text on the item then yes you should do your research. Again, stop being a ***, it was a simple question about an advanced piece of gear. Did you ever stop to think that maybe this person is new to 75 summoner, and probably doesn't have blm either, so maybe, just maybe, they're doing some research by asking a perfectly reasonable question before spending hours in sea farming for their obis, only to find they don't work as expected. Because hey, "Gain Full Effect of Earthsday/Earth Weather Bonuses" totally explains that it only applies ON earthsday or earth weather. From an avatar perpetuation cost point of view there's no random element in day/weather bonus as there is for elemental magic. Just because you've known something for a long time doesn't actually mean that it's common knowledge to someone who's never had a need for them. Ah sorry assumed people could think for themselves. My bad. I mean it's not like to get the effect of something let alone the full effect you don't generally need it present in the first place
Again, less being a ***, more acknowledging that not everyone is gonna know everything about every end-game item.
I'm intrigued though, Cohen and Sargent both talked about slightly different situations for obis from a smn perspective, but didn't go into any detail. Do obis actually have a use for smn at all? Ironic you telling someone to be less of a ***. This has nothing to do with knowing anthing about any endgame item. It's called knowing how to read. At most it has to do with how day/weather effects things... which would also let you know that it has next to no use for smn... though the fact that it doesn't say something like avatar: or pet: should clue you into it's not gunna affect your avatar. But since there seems to be a general lack of knowledge of the subject wiki said: Weather effects-Similar to the elemental days of the week, each elemental Weather Effect has a chance to increase the power of offensive magic that belongs to its corresponding element by 10%, as per the icons in your menu's magic listing. For instance, during Fire (or heat) weather, magic such as Fire and Firaga is increased in strength. Effects of Fire-based Enhancing Magic like Enfire and Blaze Spikes also receive a boost in damage. Magic Accuracy may also be improved as well.
Skillchains, being based on one or multiple elements, are also increased in power in their elemental weather. For instance, during the above Fire weather, Liquefaction and Fusion will have a chance to do more damage. In addition, also similar to day, it is possible for a Weather Effect to decrease the power of offensive magic consisting of the element it beats. Using the same example of Fire weather, ice-type attacks have a chance to be weakened in power by 10%, as fire is superior to ice based on the elemental wheel. Weather (and day) only has a chance to offer its 10% power boost to corresponding spells (approximately 33-50% chance). Wearing an elemental obi (obtained via the quest In the Name of Science) while using the corresponding magic during the corresponding weather/day makes the 10% boost guaranteed. Summoner's avatars and by extension likely puppetmaster automatons and dragoon wyverns are not affected by these items. 10% for magic of the day 10% for magic matching single weather 25% for magic matching double weather 35% for magic matching double weather and day Dasva's fishing for attention. Let him have his moment of glory for pwning noobs on forums because he's not an epic douchebag. Quite contrary, everyone should know that asking questions on forums like these gives wannabe elitists like him the opportunity for feeling like a badass typing up a storm behind a locked door in his mom's house.
Bravo good sir. You've proven to us all you can read an item description and never need assistance interpreting a vague description. Now kindly go surf for porn before mommy tries to open your door again. Hurry you have two minutes to finish =) 11 days after the thread became irrelevant, Maimed has an epiphany.
