oh.... its almost like i called it? People do not get this. Contrary to popular belief, most cops are good people, and most Cops actually have a spine. Do not be surprised when they all just quit en-masse.

What would you prefer we call the group of like minded individuals who have enshrined identitarianism, neo-racism, and neo-fascism into their ideology, and all fall to a specific political alignment?

They arent boogeymen if we can point to various non-fringe examples. they arent made up if we can point to a plurality of politicians who lean to a specific side of the political spectrum all preach the same ideals.

I think you need to come to grips with the idea that what you perceive as right and just in the world, is verily detached from such.

And honestly, I cannot even fathom why anyone would want to be a cop, anyhow. Regardless of the current situation.

I used to work retail for Sprint for years in a sales capacity. Just dealing with potential new customers and existing ones was bad enough in sales. But unfortunately I did so well, I was soon promoted to shift manager at a Nextel/Sprint service center (right after Sprint acquired Nextel). Literally terrible. Cell phone customers for some insane reason think paying a monthly sub meant you were renting the phone and if anything happened to it, even if their fault, they were owed not only a new phone, but the newest and best one, for free. Oh and they also thought the louder you yell, the more helpful customer service reps become. (Not the case) I hated that job so much I quit after about 5 months.

Now, think of being a cop. You know when you awake that basically 99% of every situation you enter having to do with your job, with the public, was going to be the worst part of that other person's day/week/month/year and possibly life. You know going into it that there is a very high chance someone you have to gather info from in the situation will be lying to you. And added to this, depending on the situation, that person may attempt to take your life. That would make the kindest of people hardened after a short time I'd think and the stress level would be daunting (unless you generally loved conflict, which most of us don't).

On top of that, they really don't get paid THAT well compared to many industries compared to the risk they take. So, I'd think it would not be that hard to say, "F this" and just get something else, even if it paid less.

i generally approach everything from a logical standpoint; not really considering the emotional side of things when i think about problem solving. this helped me understand the emotional side of it a bit better. it didnt help me find any answers, but it did help me understand.

Right now, im at a point where there's only a few semi-logical answers i've come back to, but it's basically a dead end reasoning that never fully works out. it just keeps going on and on, and nothing comes back to a correct answer. The closest thing ive gotten to an answer, is that the system isnt perfect, but what matters most to that system functioning is collectively how good people are on average. i cant help but think the only answer to this problem is that people just have to be better than they are today. i dont think any policy, or any plan, or anything at all will have the desired effects.
