2. We need taxes to provide services to help the little guys and incentivize the cooperation of the bigs.

3. See the Bill of Rights and the Constitution but corporate personhood is joke and should be dead..

4. Like the pentagon has suggested we need to stream line costs and shut down unnecessary domestic bases and modernize our military for efficiencies sake.

Right:
1. No rules
2: No taxes
3: We say we want smaller government but all of the social regulations we want, do nothing but expand government to the point it’s in your bedroom.
4: Moar please. But don’t ask me or my kids to go to war.

I used to read Mother Jones, Salon and AlterNet. I know exactly what I'm talking about. It may not be your brand of left-wing politics or issues, but it's definitely a fringe left-wing thing to do. Who was it that published "I'm a Pedophile but You're the Monster" and what were their politics? Who is it that says men can become women? Get real.

Bigotry literally means intolerance to an idea or opinion. It doesn't mean what people want it to mean. It's okay to be bigoted. Everyone is a bigot.

I know full well what it means, and it is not ok, and not everyone is one.

Would that be so bad? Over the last few days, the peaceful protesters have done a better job of policing themselves than the police have. An individual that tries to throw things or get rowdy is quickly shushed by the crowd. They are just..walking, or in some cases, sitting. Its only when the cops come in and start arresting them for "breaking curfew" that the problems have started. There are more protesters than police, if they are determined to remain peaceful, why not leave them alone?

So some people are tolerant of every ideology and opinion. That's fascinating. Can you introduce me to them?

if the protests are entirely peaceful ~ and there's no damage to business, acts of violence, looting etc ~ then that would be fine. Maybe even a police guard to block off roads. but i doubt we could have a country like that
