No, they believe they are safe because every question is readily combated turning any discussion in a political one.

So questioning people just remain silent.
Some, yeah. Of course it's political. Words are weapons... with no restrictions and no laws.

Grain of salt, it's only a guess. (and easily lied about, China)

Why do some countries have like a *** year until the threat is over? It's a guess.

I wouldn't expect any modern country (with some caveats) over a certain population density (and education rate) to be past the worst. There are so many unknowns. (having really good internet would keep numbers low too!)

South Korea I could believe. For reasons. (*)Most likely to believe?

Our numbers on those charts are strictly new york as per my understanding, many metro cities are well behind when new york will peak.

The protocol here (and most likely in every world) is to cremate deads by corona.

Yes, its understandable but its too ***. People could just have died by doctor being negligent, poor equipment, or other ***they can make. Once there are just ashes, the only true story is to be told by the doctors.

Aside this is too *** to the family, damn. Just disgusting. Surviving can justify giving up part of our humanity?

You would be disgusted what a typical human would do just to go on existing

Quote:
We Sacrifice Freedom for Safety

Benjamin Franklin once said:
Quote:
"Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."

Or like Churchill said

“You were given the choice between war and dishonour. You chose dishonour, and you will have war.“

That last quote has to do with taxation and quite literally meant purchase as in trading money for it. It was pro-taxation and pro-government statement.

On the bright-side we're doing exactly the best possible thing for global warming.

Coincidence? Killing the planet, planet responded.

But that's a hoax too riteguiz

I still believe at some point people will say screw it and try to go back to normality (as much as possible).

The act of going to the park(the beach, the pool etc) is 100% safe. The problem is as soon as one other person has the same idea it's not safe anymore.

But you're already there...

Well that's what the stimulus money that goes to businesses is for and why this cannot go on long-term.
Honestly, the best way for stimulus money to be distributed is through people, not (only) businesses. Mind you, businesses do need a stimulus, but for crying out loud, include the general public along with them.

Which is why the Obama stimulus fell through and became a huge *** dud but most likely not this one.

The greatest economic stimuli are unironically what the Republicans(and corperate dems) rally against.
Food stamps, social safety nets and bottom up economics.

. Means testing is *** ***, and the continual erosion of social safety by buzzword randian sayings like 'the free market will come to the rescue' or bitching about spending and oversight would be *** hilarious if it wasn't so repeatedly dangerous and disastrous.

A lot of people getting money off the books, illegals or etc are not getting that check. Those are gonna be the people who need it the most too, shame on that stipulation. They need money too!
If you aren't submitting taxes, then you are essentially telling the government you make no money. So, if you file for these benefits and the government sees that you've been living on $0 for the last few years, then why would you need money now?

The money people are getting comes from taxpayers. If you chip in for the pizza, you get a slice. If not, you shouldn't be telling the people who did chip in to cut their slices smaller so you can get some too.

And all 3 items notated are abused to hell and back.

This isn't the thread to argue about this though, so I won't.

Said the person who is only allowed to post these viewpoints using an education system paid for by a free-market economic system, using equipment that would have never come to existence if it wasn't for free-markets and the innovation it brings, using utilities that would be non-existent if it wasn't for society dominated by a free-market system.

The lack of understanding in your post is outstanding. It's like watching Occupy Wall Street all over again and the ironic display they portrayed.

Unfortunately the federal government doesn't even talk to each other about situations like this. The bureaucracy between departments is so bad that they purposefully (either through regulations or Congress inaction) ignore the warning signs that certain people are gaming the system. Why do you think that Fraud and Theft is the 3rd largest outlay of debt in the Federal Government, only behind Defense Spending and Social Security. The only reason why Fraud and Theft will be "downgraded" to 4th place is because Interest Payments on the National Debt will eclipse spending in a couple of years.

It's not that simple. If you had a bad luck streak in 2019 (made no money at all) but were looking. or just finished a degree, or hospitalized etc then you didn't file, but you still need help now. Because then was then and now is now. (and now is not September)

Then let's go one further. Random guy goes around cutting grass for money, not enough to get by but it helps. He obviously doesn't claim taxes on that. But now everyone is home cutting their own grass... is he just supposed to go *** himself? I guess he should get a real job instead, oh right, everything is closed.

It's not always black and white all the time. It would've been better to err on the side of everyone.

*** lol if you think food stamps, unemployment and things like ubi are abused. I bet you hate it when the dirty poors buy anything more than ramen and grade D chicken gizzards with their wic card. All metrics of abuse on social net programs are either nonexistent or a fox news "99% of poor households have a refrigerator " level of '*** the poor' boogeyman

Dude, i went to my local public school and my county community college. Neither of which are funded by the freemarket. Both are social systems paid largely by landowner or state taxes. Betsy devos and her freemarket ideas of voucher systems for public/private schools have basically gutted already underfunded public school systems while allowing *** to grift like mad. Try to troll harder in between beating it to ayn rand and reagan.

Still not a good reason to not file, even if you made zero income.

By not filing, you open yourself to an IRS audit at any point in your life. Literally, IRS can come to you today and open an audit in 2001 if you didn't file then, and could/should have. The only way the courts would disallow said audit is if you were under then age of 16 in 2001.

He wouldn't claim taxes on that, but he still is required to report the income.
