This isn't about bribes, this is government telling companies to shut down and that leading to people being put out of work so them making sure they don't starve due to it.
This is the point people are deliberately ignoring, this is a one time thing done specifically to assist people and small business's until this whole thing blows over, which it will. The government isn't creating some huge social program that will keep people in poverty in-perpetuity, just a short term bridge to offset the economic pressure from a worldwide emergency.
It's going to be a significantly higher number than what McConnell put out there. And honestly, I doubt this is the last bill. The deficit is going to double to 2T.
Also, even the McConnell bill had a plan for 2 separate deposits, so Saevel saying it's a one time thing is simply false. One full payment in April, a second in May, then evaluate.
