The political spectrum isn't universal, and I'm not sure why you're using such narrow definitions of the term "leftist", referring to European politics, and placing Bernie Sanders as the standard bearer. It is generally accepted in colloquial usage to mean anything left of center, and in American politics (which we are discussing) that most certainly includes CNN. I think he was talking about Prong and his tangent. Also Saevel continues to lie, there aren't a dozen liberal news networks out there, there are two. I think we're splitting hairs at this point. There is certainly a heavy skew among major news outlets towards leftist ideology, so I'm not sure what the point is in focusing only on cable television news networks. Not even close to "splitting hairs." Why are we talking about cable tv? Because thats what Saevel chose to lie about in yet another one of his pathetic attempts to play the victim card. Can you name the "dozen or so" major Democrat controlled news stations out there? Viciouss said: » Bahamut.Ravael said: » Viciouss said: » Bahamut.Ravael said: » ? Meh, I'm pretty sure I know what he's referring to, but I'll let him speak for himself since I don't think any of us are even referring to the same thing at this point. This is just another situation where the whole source of the conflict is a simple Venn diagram misalignment. Bahamut.Ravael said: » Viciouss said: » Bahamut.Ravael said: » ? Out of the major news outlets Fox is the only one that's not super liberal. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/News_media_in_the_United_States#Private-sector_news_media Quick easy list. CNN itself has a bunch of spin-offs then the huge collection of liberal "entertainment news" like The Young Turks and such. Basic report on where various "news" publishers fall with respect the the average congress member. No surprise virtually all of them are significantly further left then the average congress member. http://www.stat.columbia.edu/~gelman/stuff_for_blog/Media.Bias.pdf Anyone that things CNN isn't far left at this point is suffering from a severe case of TDS. It is true that they used to be rather centrist and left leaning, those days ended around 2008 (possible earlier) when Obama was running for President. Getting a "black" man (he's as much white as black) elected was more important then maintaining objectivity and they just moved even further left since then. Nothing new to see there. Nice attempt to move the goalposts tho. No longer trying to claim dozens of news stations, instead trying to claim "outlets." Didn't work.

Getting a "black" man (he's as much white as black) elected was more important then maintaining objectivity and they just moved even further left since then. I've encountered many on the far right that declare TDS must be a thing if someone doesn't like Trump...and then proceed to go on about Obama who hasn't held office in years. That ODS surpasses any TDS that I've seen. But since that subject has arisen, tell me exactly how the ones that voted Obama into office failed to maintain objectivity based on his race? I mean, why would the fact that he is black, or actually multi-racial, factor into his ability to hold office? I leave for two days and see my name keeps getting brought up by an ******* who seems to think these conversations are competitions.
I got upset not because Rooks made a comment that I disagree with, trust me, ya'll don't have that kind of power over me no matter how hard to pat yourselves on the back for it. But, Vic you are 100% short bus on this. I wasn't upset, I was literally dumbfounded by your stupid arguments. And the fact nobody on your "side" can take a second to explain to you that it doesn't have to be a 24/7 "entertainment news" channel to affect American's opinions, I guess they are on your mental level as well. Anyone who can sit here and tell me nightly news presented by national news stations DOESN'T COUNT in the context of this conversation, then on the very next breath, use Sinclair as an example of right-wing news when they ONLY operate on small, local stations is either mentally handicapped or a *** liar. End of story. And Ozmsumthin (sorry I don't recall your name nor feel like scrolling up) we already did the whole, ODS vs TDS thing, it's no comparing the two, conservatives don't control the media nor did conservative public figures show their ODS like they have shown their TDS so it's not even as close to the same national effect. To say otherwise is nuts. Now if you guys want to come back down to reality and sanity and have discussions without the constant insults, which I just did because Vic hit me with like 5 of them and nobody said ***to him so what's good for the goose....then we can get back to debating, and not acting like a spade isn't a spade because it makes your stupid comments look even more ignorant. I don't think anyone is worried about your failed claims nor your insults. There was no argument to be made, there remain 3 major news stations in the USA: Fox News, CNN, MSNBC. Thats it. The list ain't changing no matter how much you want it to. If you want to expand it to include all forms of media in order to save yourself, go ahead and try. But Rooks and I remain correct and you and Saevel remain wrong. Which is nothing new for Saevel.
Viciouss said: » I don't think anyone is worried about your failed claims nor your insults I did not fail anything, it's a discussion you @ss. You don't agree with me, no idea how you can't see what I am saying, but you refuse to so, and I am using an irrefutable fact: news doesn't have to come from ONLY 24/7 news channels. How you can argue that is mind boggling. To say otherwise is nuts. I proved my point, can you do the same? I recall a previous poster here that loved having a ST:TNG animated GIF as an avatar. You've been Data-posting, all logical and such, for quite a while. What made you lose it? How far did someone go to put you on the attack? It's also not set into the ground.
So, of course a large structure like that will fall if it's not stabilized and in the ground. But I doubt that fact will stick with the left. They just want to "hur-dur Drumpt's wall fell down hur-dur" Yeah, I was going to bring that up in another thread.
It's not Trump though. Asura.Wormfeeder said: » if he really believes that. big yikes Not his first statement calling Antifa "imaginary".
But this was the guy who claimed to have seen evidence of Russian collusion with President Trump (hey, tie in with this topic!) so it's not hard to claim that Nadler is divorced from reality. Um, I’ve never started off a post with “I think he has a crush on me”, so you tell me who sets the Junior High tone in our interactions. And if just a few occurrences is “too many times to count”, maybe we should be discussing at a Kindergarten level instead of Junior High. Garuda.Chanti said: » ![]() So, speaking of stupid interpretations like this, apparently there are a bunch of leftists in the media claiming that this is "trial run" for Trump's "Gestapo" to "steal the election" at the "request of Putin". I put these in quotes because they're all incredibly ridiculous claims that are being put forth as legitimate concerns. I swear these people will believe anything. |
