ALL TRUMP!!! ALL THE TIME!!!
Why don't we share Sarah Palin's educational credentials, considering that was the dumb comparison made in the first place. 7 different colleges to get a BA in journalism. And honestly, that might not have even been a BA.
I love to beat up on Steve king and Kevin McCarthy IS the Minority leader.
To be fair I searched Rhodes scholars in congress because I know there some, but I couldn't parse to serving members. I got freshman class of 2018 (3) and a list, with thumbnail bios of every single one, alphasorted and no sort options available. I gave up. Garuda.Chanti said: » From Wiki: [AOC] came in second in the Microbiology category of the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair with a microbiology research project on the effect of antioxidants on the lifespan of the nematode C. elegans.[20] In a show of appreciation for her efforts, the MIT Lincoln Laboratory named a small asteroid after her: 23238 Ocasio-Cortez.[21][22] In high school, she took part in the National Hispanic Institute's Lorenzo de Zavala (LDZ) Youth Legislative Session. She later became the LDZ Secretary of State while she attended Boston University. Ocasio-Cortez had a John F. Lopez Fellowship.[23]... During college, Ocasio-Cortez served as an intern for U.S. Senator Ted Kennedy, in his section on foreign affairs and immigration issues.[27]... Ocasio-Cortez graduated *** laude from Boston University College of Arts and Sciences with a BA in 2011, majoring in international relations and economics.[23][28][29] We would benefit if ALL of congress was so "ignorant." A high school, team science fair project... not impressive. A high school hispanic club... not impressive. An undgergraduate hispanic club... not impressive. Another undergraduate hispanic club... not impressive. A diversity hire intern for an "immigration" subgroup of a larger group... not impressive. A B.A. in econ... not impressive. This is an incredibly unremarkable resume. A team science fair project, small subcategory, the team didn't even win, and you have no idea what she contributed to the team (likely nothing since she went on to major in econ). I assure you that MIT did not name an asteroid after her because her high school science fair team got second in the microbiology subcategory - that doesn't make any sense, it was a political move sometime later. Being a member of minority student clubs... participation trophy for every brown person, definitely. Congressional interns answer phones and get coffee, there are tons of these people, great practice for being a bartender (lol). Econ degree is one of the more useless ones you can get and leads to nothing without a doctorate, hence the bartender job after graduating. The wiki article you copy/pasted from tries its best to dress the language up, and it probably tricks simpletons with a bunch of words they don't understand, but if every senator was as unimpressive as her then the country would be even more *** up than it already is. tldr: she's still dumb, and if she had an 'R' next to her name, you'd be listing her as an example of how dumb republican congressmen are. Lol, and the typical shitpost from Commodus.
And what have you done with your life?
Yeah, and it’s not even hard to embellish a resume by doing things that sound way more impressive than they actually are. For example, I have seven nationally-recognized certifications that are applicable to my field, whereas most of my coworkers over the years were lucky to have one (three at most). Only two of those are actually prestigious to those in the know. The other five allow me to say I have seven, and I plan on having ten by the end of next year. Just having those dumb things on my resume has carried me very far in a short amount of time. It’s all about those acronyms, baby.

Obviously a college education doesn't mean as much as it once did. Shiva.Zerowone said: » And what have you done with your life? A lot more, and I don't have zealot shills bragging about my high school accolades on the internet. Level of education =/= level of functionality.

Let alone the fact that if you’re actually 1 of a small few in your field with that many nationally recognized certifications youre exposing yourself to idiocy from the Internet. It’s like claiming you have a doctorate in a field where there is only 5 people who possess one. Shits easily verifiable. The intent was to show how easy it can be to pad a resume. If you think you can out me based on so little information via “easily verifiable” internet sleuthing, be my guest. Do you ever read what you type out aloud before you hit submit.
Pad the resume with certifications all you want there is a term for it and it doesn’t really help as much as you think. If you don’t have the chops and experience you’re certs are just paper and your tenure will be short lived. If you think I cared about “outting you” from that post or any of my posts; then your demonstrated lack of comprehension makes me suspect your ability to comprehend the questions that are on a professional certification exam. You should be more worried about the two yahoos with autism that +’d you thinking you’re friends showing up at your doorstep. You have your two or three little running mates on here as well, cyber-patting one another on the back for every inane opinion you give. Maybe you should read your comments before hitting, "enter." Nice combination of both stating the obvious and completely talking out of your rear end, as usual. Reading comprehension only works if you actually present your arguments well, which you rarely do. should go back to talking about trump before thread gets locked :)
~ heard he's going to mount rushmore soon volkom said: » should go back to talking about trump before thread gets locked :) ~ heard he's going to mount rushmore soon Well, given that people are starting to protest there too, South Dakota's governor isn't having any of it. After all, if South Dakota lost Mount Rushmore, there would be zero reason to ever visit South Dakota. Don’t know how you think I’m bent out shape in that capacity or at all for that matter. Not like the opinions of one who blocked me for clowning their anti-Semitic rants or the other one who blames me for their sectioned banning would mean much of anything to me, honestly. Don’t get too invested, it never works out well. The Trump 2020 app is a voter surveillance tool of extraordinary power
Both presidential campaigns use apps to capture data, but Trump's asks to scoop up your identity, your location, and control of your phone's Bluetooth function. MIT Technology Review This is long and deep and goes WAY beyond the apps themselves. Two words: Data collection. Jebus gang. Read the What next? Look at India section.
This **** is big time scary with teeth. Garuda.Chanti said: » Jebus gang. Read the What next? Look at India section. This **** is big time scary with teeth. What exactly going on right now ISN'T terrifying? Every day is a new worst. Bahamut.Ravael said: » If you think you can out me based on so little information via “easily verifiable” internet sleuthing, be my guest. This isn't aimed at Rav or anyone in particular really, just sort of a blanket question/statement. I've wondered for a long time (since about 1997 when I was in AOL chatrooms) what anyone is afraid of on this? Seriously, like anyone is going to do a goddamn thing. Ruin my credit? HAHAHAHA I've already beaten you to that. Tell my boss about my posts? We're under audio and visual surveillance. Some posts have had people read over my shoulder and laugh (not so much here). Meet me at my house? I'm in Oklahoma where we have more laws to protect gun ownership than we do to protect victims of violent crimes, think that action through carefully. So what would be the fear, other than the loss of anonymity, to being "outed" on a forum? Also, what kind of reward would one get for doing said outing? A feeling of accomplishment? That would indeed be a low bar. INB4: I like my anonymity thank you, so no I'm not going to give over name and location :) To make sure I'm on topic: Trump still sucks, but not as much as Biden, and Libertarians are batshit-***-nuts. India? I barely have time these days to get past news from Pennsylvania.
They're going to have to add a few more hours of the day for me to get much further east than that. Voren said: » So what would be the fear, other than the loss of anonymity, to being "outed" on a forum? Also, what kind of reward would one get for doing said outing? A feeling of accomplishment? That would indeed be a low bar. Well, this is a forum with a low bar, so yeah.... The beauty of anonymity is that it puts everyone on at least close to an equal footing at the start. Suppose that you have five high school dropouts living in their parents' basement and arguing in an internet forum, all pretending to be professional experts on whatever topic. Now, let's suppose that the most knowledgeable of the bunch gets outed. Even though they're all frauds, suddenly his arguments lose all credibility because everyone else still has on the mask of authority while his has been destroyed. Even in a situation where the people are legitimately what they say they are, people will look for any excuse to delegitimize the other person's argument based on related or unrelated metrics. (e.g. You went to [X] college, so what could you possibly know? You belong to [X] religion, so therefore you're crazy and nothing you say matters.) People are petty like that. Rather than judging an argument by its intrinsic worth, your word is only as good as your credentials, and your credentials are subject to preconceived biases. |
