That impeachment thing....
Oh god, Dershowitz is back at the podium! Get your popcorn ready! I can't believe he was allowed to speak again.
He went off on a wild tangent again, and Nadler got up there and just blew him out of the water. They have to get Dershowitz off that bench.
Oh Vic would actually find this ***entertaining.
You still taking notes ? It's been interesting to listen to, both sides have good speakers and bad, some really bad. The last hour has been rough for the defense tho.
They should have waited till Super Bowl Sunday to do all this. To make sure only the hardcore nerds would give a ***.
Oh wow, Dershowitz again!

I disagree with his principles, but he sticks by them unwaveringly in an age when most "conservatives" are weathervanes. I will not like him an iota better if he testifies and brings Trump down, but I will say thanks. Quote: Just look at Romney and McCain. They got eviscerated by the Left over the dumbest little minutia... Garuda.Chanti said: » Bahamut.Ravael said: » Garuda.Chanti said: » Bolton ... He is an honest and principled conservative. They got eviscerated by the Left over the dumbest little minutia... I watched the Romney/Obama race pretty closely, and I don’t recall ever hearing anything about steel. What I did hear about constantly was a dog on a car roof, Romney being a meanie head in prep school, “the 47%”, etc., i.e. the minutia. I remember Obama ran campaign ads on his job killing steel policies.
Wow Val Demings just straight up ignored that question.
You like Huey Lewis and the news ?

So I wasn't able to watch live, but catching up a bit now. I see the Bolton bombshell caused the defense to switch from "Quid Pro Quo never happened" to Dershitz claiming that it did happen BUT "Trump can't be impeached because he believed felt his reelection is in the national interest."
OK, so now this new defense is basically saying that Trump FELT he was acting in the best interest of the country. Laws are now based on FEELINGS. This country used to possess some sense of decorum and dignity, and insist on the same from its elected officials. Hopefully those days will be coming back later this year. I used to be a renegade, I used to fool around
But I couldn't take the punishment, and had to settle down Now I'm playing it real straight, and yes I cut my hair You might think I'm crazy, but I don't even care 'Cause I can tell what's going on It's hip to be square It's hip to be square Ragnarok.Ozment said: » This country used to possess some sense of decorum and dignity, and insist on the same from its elected officials. Yeah, the 1700s were a pretty good time. I miss the days of JFK when cheating on your wife was cool and dignified.
Oh yea Clinton JFK all the dignified Presidents. That were classy as hell.
Ragnarok.Ozment said: » Laws are now based on FEELINGS. Clearly. Because, as I've said many times, there are no accusations of lawbreaking in the articles of impeachment. I know people have a hard time with this concept, but those are the basis for the trial. Trump is in court for hurting the FEELINGS of Congress. It's that simple. Talking about Hunter Biden is getting them nowhere. The Republicans had 4 years to investigate him and they did nothing because there is nothing to investigate. There remains no evidence he did anything wrong.

That was a horrible moment for Team Trump, he got benched for hours but then somehow was allowed to go back up there not once but twice to expand on his wild claims. fonewear said: » Oh yea Clinton JFK all the dignified Presidents. That were classy as hell. We've had a few classy presidents. Look at Martin Van Buren. LOOK AT HIM. Dude was rocking the Ebeneezer Scrooge style and people were like, "Heck yes we want him to be President!"
Jay Sekulow is having a bad time with his doomsday conspiracies. Calling witnesses will in no way add months to the trial.
I'm just seriously waiting for someone on the house managers side to look sideways and just go jesus *** christ already

That's all the evidence I need. Who cares about what will hold up under the law. We need more political cartoonist opinions !
And according to the Constitution political cartoons should hold up in the trial as evidence.
