Medals - A discussion REBORN!
well, the last major exploit for Mythics the punishment was practically non-existent, a 72 hour vacation and no item rollback, so of course people want to make a boatload of gil/buy all their Divergence upgrades so as to eliminate as much of the grind as they can.

Really thought that one through. A++ More than likely an FFXIAH mod is duping and just covering it up /tinfoilhat You are 100% right. Nepotism is frantic among people in positions of "power" or money-making, with respect to FFXI. I didn't do anything particularly special, I said I had used an exploit that had potential to cause serious damage to the game in the reason field. Many other people had already GMed me, due to the shitstorm going on in asura/jeuno. Maybe that played a part. They talked to me for a good 10 minutes, assured me they would pass the info to the STF(not that that's necessarily worth much), then ended the call without banning me(dunno what that's about). Because even at a dime a mil it's still literally free money.
That and you can stockpile stuff and wait for prices to go back up if SE acts. The time invested is minimal.
Free money is still free money even racing to the bottom. 2019 has been nothing but a race to the bottom lol
Anyone smart put hundreds of thousands of medals on new accounts, they're set with trillions of gil for the rest of the games life, there is no recovering. its also very easy to track that so idk about calling that smart

Check bone pick on Asura. The current items are some of the "___ of Coins" cards, random 1-hand Bronze gear or Onion swords, and some random individual Fish under Food > Fish. Basically, if you sort all the categories by 'reset to default' (NOT by level) and then view the history, half of them have 999999999's somewhere at least once. They like to use items near the top because no scrolling to see if the item's biddable yet. Plow enough time into trying to quick-buy-and-sell one while an RMT is in the middle of doing 10 transfers and it's just the law of large numbers, you will eventually get lucky. Mrxi said: » its also very easy to track that so idk about calling that smart The point isn't to lose track, the point is to launder it. Can you seethe any harder? i meant the post above yours, most likely going to IP ban everyone of your accounts once there done there investigation for putting hundreds of thousands of medals on new accounts. unless this is not traceable
Seeing the scale and the time frame (2 years+?), it'll be some automated STF stuff. I'm sure they'll miss some people but overall it's very easy to trace, a GM could do it. It'd just take quite some time to do it manually.
I don't remember SE IP banning for exploit related stuff, maybe for chargeback, though. IP banning is pretty hardcore, no matter how much you exploit and cheat on FFXI, they'll still gladly take your money on a new FFXI account or on FFXIV, I wouldn't expect them to take any action that could terminate part of their income. Banning people is pretty tame, they'll just buy new accounts eventually. It's very easy to find anyone who was abusing the glitch itself with a (relatively) simple chat log analysis. They obviously keep and retain (for at least some duration) records of trades and auction house sales. There is no in-game transaction that will completely obscure where things went.
Well I pretty much know where the source of all the medals and everything came from, but I would be stupid to point fingers and not take blame for my own decisions. I have yet to decide what I really would even do knowing this now, as nothing can be done. I made my decisions based on personal situations, and I would have done it again, but maybe honesty isn't the best policy. Have a good night guys.
You told someone how to make unlimited money and they abused it?
DirectX said: » Are they still your friend? It doesn't really matter who found out, who exploited and who is exploiting. All that matter is to make sure people who haven't exploited yet are aware that there is a risk if they do "that".
Asura.Eiryl said: » You told someone how to make unlimited money and they abused it? Lol I wish I had that capability. Obviously not unlimited if it crashes things this hard. Artsncrafts said: » i dont pity or feel bad for you at all, you been doing this for 2 years now |
