it is circulating among twitter that there are no plans to hold a house vote for formal INPEACH investigation.

Its all a fake show by Pelosi.

Libs have no choice but to lose.

This is just nausi not understanding what's going on, and citing Twitter again lol. Keep clinging to those two polls tho.

I don't have a "binary worldview"

Well, I mean, I'm okay with you saying that because I don't actually know you personally, but as far as I've seen you have taken the Left's default stance on every single issue that we have ever discussed in here. That's about as binary as you can possibly get.

This was also cute, who can't this be applied to? Let's see, FONEWEAR...that's the list.

Um, wrong. There's no doubt that we take our typical sides a vast majority of the time, but just about everyone in here has had fleeting moments of dissent.

Looking at the main cast of those of us who spend way too much time in here, here's what I see:

Chanti and Shi are known to occasionally concede on certain issues when people on the Left have gone too loco for their tastes. Skull's always willing to concede a point as well. Saev is pretty vocal about a few of his policy differences with the mainstream Right. I've vocalized my frustrations with Congress and establishment Republicans and I've taken a more centrist stance on certain issues (though this happened more when we actually discussed issues). Nausi's more hard-lined, but he's not afraid to call out his own side either. Fone is glorious Fone in all his glory at all times, regardless of what that means at any given moment. The rest of you lurkers need to pipe up more!

But you, Vic? From what I've seen, you don't speak ill of any Democrat whatsoever. Given the widening divide between the center-left and far-left, if you actually had a spot on the political spectrum other than "Team Democrat" then you should have had plenty to say about something that you see going in your party that you disagree with. Instead, no. You could be a centrist Dem or a rabid socialist and nobody would never know because you don't seem to have a unique thought to share, ever. Face it. In here, you're a binary, monolithic voter who defends every Democrat and attacks every Republican who doesn't act like a Democrat. "We're always right, they're always wrong." It's incredibly boring.

Saevel was defending Mueller and Comey back in May and was basically defending Clinton as well on the outcome of the emails investigation.

Nausi took issue with Bolton just a couple weeks ago.

Just two easy examples right there, which is more than can be said about you. How does it feel to a bigger party shill than your archnemesis?

But seriously, try not deflecting and making it about Nausi just this once and prove to us that you can take issue with even one Democrat's policies.

The odds of Trump getting impeached are probably pretty good, and I think that's awesome because the odds of the Senate actually convicting are next to nothing. Given what happened with Clinton, I can't imagine what the Dems are thinking is going to come of this. If Trump is such an easy opponent like they seem to want everyone to believe, then this is a really stupid risk.

It's a timed ploy to create an issue during the next election season. Pellosi always intended on doing this, just not too early as they want the prime TV coverage to be during the middle to late 2020 election year, having CNN and MSNBC talking about which piece of "evidence" was brought forward instead of campaign rallies and so forth. If they had attempted it earlier this year, then there was a good chance the whole thing would be concluded around May to July of next year and therefor mostly forgotten around November. Remember the Democrat 2020 platform boils down to "Trump is Evil" and "American is Evil", between those two only one is something they can really run on and even then it's not particularly strong. Of course President Trump is pretty much a mad genius at these sorts of games and will end up making them all look like radical extremist revolutionaries by the time he's done.

So basically, if things keep going they way they are the Dem's are about to hand the 2020 election to President Trump. The swing states that really determine the outcome are concerned the most about the economy, which has seen a huge benefit since President Trump got into office (whether he caused it or not is unrelated to the optics). Candidate Trump made his entire platform about economic growth and supporting the American people and not about specific political ideals, which is why the Republicans didn't like him, the economy is doing so well the Democrats have to manufacture crisis on a per-day basis.

The entire american system is binary and makes even things that shouldn't be political as such. The parties themselves are obnoxious and would only be temporary coalitions in the rest of the world...democrats span from socialists, to socialdemocrats, centrists and liberals(european meaning, centre-right), while republicans go from other liberals, to nationalists, christiandemocrats to some fascists(I don't think you have communists in America, too much cultural scare, but if you got those too it only makes the dems even more bloated). In fact during each party's primaries everyone here brings up sensible discussions as all the nuance is able to come out, but then it all dies down when election time comes around and only two choices are left for the following four years. I very much remember a bunch of people here that were gonna vote for Trump saying they hated they were doing it, now instead it's a united front of staunch defense of everything he does, including some very ridiculous things(all the while pretending you wouldn't have raised hell if Obama did even half of it!) - and no, I don't like Obama and think his nobel was a fraud.

Personally I've mostly had meaningful conversations with only two conservatives here: Nik and KN for the short time we all noticed he was being constructive(remember? we even joked about it, then for some reason he decided to drop the ball and not do that anymore..)
I've never had that with people like Nausi and Altima because they have a very obvious problem with thinking outside of what they're told to think(and they could use guidance instead of backpats); with Fonewear because despite him having the intelligence to do it, he prefers trolling and that makes it impossible to engage him; and by gods Saevel, he's the one I've noticeably tried the hardest with but have since realized that he's just a propagandist, he speaks always as if reading from a debate spinning guide book designed for people like Nausi, but there's only so many times you can take being spun around before you start feeling sick.

On the other side surely I've rarely disageeed with Ramy, Floppy or Pleebo as we share most of our views, but I've had plenty of disagreements with say Vic and Jet(or CJ lol). But who has the time for that when somebody else walks in saying that Trump is a very intelligent man...

Everyone has their own ideology that's hardly gonna change(unless they've never given it deep phylosophical self-analysis and they do it for the first time), but when it comes to discuss whether that view is being represented or not it somehow disappears to who the *** knows where.

I've been sitting on this rant for days, I blame Ravael for making me post it.

Saevel was defending Mueller and Comey back in May and was basically defending Clinton as well on the outcome of the emails investigation.

Besides being cleared of any wrong doing, what happened about these investigations?

Clinton definitely violated policy and possibly violated law by using a non-government approved information processing system for classified government material. The law part comes in because it would require someone to prove that she intended to violate that policy. I've broken this down to you guys before but short memories / ect.

Basically NSA has a huge list of policies that government the handing of classified material for the US. Each department then has it's own internal policies that add to, but not take away from those central NSA policies. Secretary Clinton worked in the state department and thus was under those, which are the same that are applied to the US Military, which I am deeply and intimately familiar with. Those policies make it absolutely clear that it's a huge violation worthy of immediate suspension of access until an administrative investigation is complete upon which that suspension will likely become permanent.

Now it's federal law that a person enrolled in such special access programs (SAP) to knowingly violate those policies.

I've highlighted the important parts there. It would of been extremely illegal for me (as someone who was enrolled in such a SAP) to take classified material out of my SCIF and hand it to Chanti. It would not of been illegal for Chanti (a person not in a SAP) to give it to someone else. Secretary Cliton was enrolled in a SAP, it's impossible for her not to be. It's fact that she was both enrolled in a SAP and that she transmitted classified material through an unauthorized system. So right there we got a violation of policy, which if it was anyone else (like say me) there would of been an immediately suspension of access along with a very nasty investigation to determine if it was done knowingly. This didn't happen for Secretary Clinton and a huge gaping hole was left where that question should of been. In this case we can't assign guilt and therefor she's presumed innocent as a matter of due process.

On a personal level, with my informed and experienced opinion, Director Comey knew all of this and deliberately avoided answering that question. If he answered it one of those things would of happened, he told the truth and would of thus recommended prosecution for the leading Democrat candidate during the 2016 Presidential election. His career would of effectively been over as Democrats run all the government at an administrative level as well as the vast majority of law firms in the area. He would of been victim to the kind of personal life destruction that the left used against Justice Kavanaugh except he wouldn't of had any allies to shield him and likely would of eventually committed suicide. If he instead lied and that lie was later uncovered, he would of been put in jail and all the above would of happened anyway. So instead he choose the third option, to play stupid because being stupid is infinitely better then the alternatives. Ultimately his choice was the best possible choice for Comey.

Secretary Clinton herself certainly knew it was against policy to transmit classified material over her private email server. She is no amateur at government and you get pounded with that training several times a year. Whenever someone is on boarded to a SAP they sit through a class where someone like me (I used to give this class) tells them all the rules and then at the end they sign a huge stack of papers that say you understood the material in the class along with the requisite NDA's. Afterward there is refresher training conducted yearly along with OPSEC training, INFOSEC training and Cyber Security training. These are mandated for all federal employees and are actually three separate class's complete with sign in rosters. All this is to say the probability of her "not knowing" that what she was doing is non-existent.

This my conclusion. Either Secretary Clinton knowingly broke the law or was so incompetent as to not know the most fundamentals of national security, as Secretary of State.

The entire american system is binary and makes even things that shouldn't be political as such.

The only "system" the USA has is one of freedom of association. We are free to associate with any political party we desire. Our elections aren't for parties, contrary to what you socialists think. I don't vote "Republican" or "Democrat", I vote for individual people. There isn't a single ballot in the USA that has "Republican" or "Democrat" as a choice, instead it is a list of candidates that we choose from.

Here in Virginia during last years election I had the option of choosing different people for different positions. Some candidates aligned themselves with the Republicans, others with the Democrats, and some with nobody at all. The only reason (R) vs (D) becomes a thing is fund raising. Since we, unlike you, are a free society we have the option of free associate with whomever we want. If I want to give money to a pooled group who will then use that money to buy advertisements, then I'm free to do so.

See national election campaigns are expensive, VERY expensive. It's a free market and whomever can buy whatever advertisement time they want. We have hundreds of Political Action Committee (PACs) that do precisely this. It's a helluva lost more effective for those PACs to coordinate resources with each other and thus they self organize into Republicans vs Democrats.

Wow, media social justice is getting even more ridiculous. So, some dude held up a sign at a football game asking people to Venmo him money so he could buy some beer. Ultimately, this little stunt went viral and led to him raising $1 million for a Children's Hospital.

How did the local media respond to this act of kindness? By digging up his social media history and reporting offensive comments he made as a 16-year-old, resulting in Busch Light severing ties with the guy.

Seriously. But it gets better!

The reporter who wrote the article and called him out for the comments was discovered to have deleted Tweets of his own where he dropped the N-bomb among other things. Yet another social justice warrior who is a complete hypocrite.
