SE should really find a way to implement a way being able to see all a persons toons. not going to say any names but people are hiking up neck +2 pieces selling them to their alts and its *** ***. its been going on forever smfh. rant over
That's always been a part of this game. It sucks but I advise just being patient, prices will go down over time. It's impatient buyers that these people depend on...
Pick a craft for the neck you want.
Level it to 110. HQ2 a bunch of neck pieces. Beat them at their own game. Only way to stop it. Doubt SE cares. Sorry. EDIT: Alternative is, there's a bunch of crafters on Asura who placed offers on FFXIAH to craft neck pieces, as long as you supply the mats and tip them. I've used their services and saved MILLIONS on 3-4 Necks I needed. DOUBLE EDIT (right across the sky): Here's the link to the thread https://www.ffxiah.com/forum/topic/53034/su5-weapon-and-neck-synths-do-you-need-it Offline

This screams someone who has no idea about the material price. Stop being lazy and farm some gil, or do what everyone else does and just buy it.
Maybe they're just mad that they bought gil to get the necklace and suddenly it wasn't enough.
It’s like playing the (stock) market. All strategic.

As long as there are people who are willing to pay exorbitant prices for items clearly hiked, people will keep doing it. You blame one, you blame them all. Just choose to not buy the item at all. It will come back down eventually. Patience is key.

I went back there again january and found less amount of HQs and prices a bit higher than the previous trip. I do remember when i purchased some HQ from mules, i asked if he had another item of the set, and he said he was actually in another server just sent the mule to sell crafts. So my guess is that the server transfer campaign make a lot of items (and probably cash) go to asura, messing the market there. After some amount of time those prices must be going back to what they are suposed to be reflecting the actual costs in asura. serious stop whining about it and do something about it.
If you don't want the price don't pay it end of story. if you can't stop paying for it, it had the value you are going to pay for it. You are not entitled to decide a seller prices. When alex prices went up i didn't go whining about it and telling about how unfair it is to me. I reached out on FFXIAH and put in an offer to buy 90k alex for 10% lower price. and I got some of that for a what i wanted to pay for it When I wanted +2 neck i didn't go to the ah to pay full prices i shouted for a 10% less price and got it. Nobody owes you to sell you a price you demand. Stop beeing entitled about it. Instead offer up prices and see if you can work it out. Thats the basics of trading. offering and accepting Hiking up price is often needed to make a profit at all since some dumbasses dump prices if they have a lucky round and want to sell all they made at once

Much like people often do when selling an item that has no price history. Using mules is deceptive and amounts to price fixing. Offline

No different than companies buying their own stock to raise the price.
The AH system works, you bid what you think is acceptable, if the seller agrees the transaction occurs. Its supply side economics. If you think the price is acceptable then buy it. If you think it's over priced then don't buy it. Then of course.... "Buy the guns! Before your rivals do." Given how much the Necks cost in pure mats and given the average HQ2 rate over a large number I'm leaning to say that if there's anyone steering the prices, it's those sellers that for some reason end up with a large number of +2 necks, and to sell them fast they drive the price down (temporarily).
This happened on multiple necks on Asura lately. I dunno, just throwing there a different perspective. * "Some reasons" can be multiple things. Maybe you get a big streak of luck and end up with multiple +2s over a short amount of tries. Or maybe you're cheating with the +skill in multiple slots to get additional tiers of HQ rate, or w/e else. Asura.Eiryl said: » Offline

To give a idea necks are about 7m and weapons are 13-14m a synth. The medal item will almost always break when using enhancement so don't even lol.
