SAM Tanking Headpiece
Simple question, Genbu's Kabuto or Arhat's Jinpachi? Situation would mostly be campaign but for tanking some other things as well.
It depends on how you are tanking but of those two G Kabuto due to the fact that the VIT +15 along with the HP and defense will probably reduce your dmg lower than the -dmg reduction from arhats.

Thanks, that was my thinking on the matter too. (Face to face Seigan/Third Eye /DNC tanking) since you are subbing dnc, G kabuto even more due to the fact that the extra VIT will increase your waltzes, although a simple waltz macro could do the same.
Is Third Eye up? Yes, use a simple TP set.
Is Third Eye down? No, macro in a -dmg gear set until it comes back up. And macro in Kabuto along with other VIT pieces for waltzes. Arhat's +1, -6% damage when you're getting hit for 1-200+ will beat the 15 VIT and 50 defense by a lot over time.
Even moreso with a full PDR set (Like, -30%+) http://www.ffxiah.com/item_sets.php?id=37602 Is probably the best you can get (Well, with Gavial +1 not the NQ) Throw in random HP/VIT/(lol)Evasion instead of melee pieces if you're really OCD. Also this. Gavial Feet +1 and the Campaign dmg- ring for 3% less damage damage taken.

Campaign, probably kabuto for the normal targets (NMs aside), but the damage decrease would be so minimal to the point where you'd be better off with an evasion set anyways. The moment something hits for about 150~ base on you with defense gear aside, is when physical reduction is pretty much the clear cut winner. sup Oh, and yes: Only swap it on when you're vulnerable, via Third Eye being down. That, or if you know for a fact there's a heavy-hitting area of effect move coming your way (Wind Shear from Vulpangue, example). Okay, thanks for the answers on the headpiece... and I guess for the other pieces I didn't really ask about too ^^b
Already have Patronus, not gonna bother with Gavial +1. (2 have sold on our server.... ever) BE A SAMURAI MASTER
