My main issue with Limbus is that you get nothing "extra" out of it - you purely get the gear upgrades and nothing else. No bonus items like the Sortie earrings, or Omen detritus, etc.

I suppose the draw is supposed to be the fact that you get decent exp/capacity/exemplar points while doing it, but you technically get those everywhere so it doesn't feel very special. Most other content has some secondary / tertiary things going on along with the primary goals.

You get the crap from the treasure chests!

The Shards are actually worth money and will be forever. The rest of the garbage crafting mats aren't and never will be again.

Limbus is the only event that rewards a reasonable amount of exemplar points for doing it. Depending on whether or not my groups level sync I get anywhere from 50 to 70k exemplar per run. It’s not awesome, but it’s enough to gain quite a few master levels just doing weeklies. The last Mlvl are like 2 to 3 million each which is downright oppressive. A month of sortie on one job will get you there though. Going from m30 range to m45 range is much faster per level and I’ve made a lot of progress on my jobs toward m45 with it. So I can actually appreciate that aspect of limbus.

A month of sortie will not give you 2-3M exemplar.

6 months will give you ~1.5M above ML45.

Try level syncing sometime. If you sync to someone m30 or lower it doesn’t really slow kill speed much, but the exemplat per hour is remarkable better. It still shouldn’t take you half a year without sync, but sync does make it much faster.

Was speaking from personal experience. The times any party I've been in has level synced in Sortie, particularly under ML30 are.. zero, they're zero.

You should strive to -always- be M0

It's not always possible, but it should always be the goal. The difference between M0 and M30 is like 5x

To the point of even purposely deleveling cors to always have the free sync.

I've run with a pretty wide group of people and they often work on leveling lower level jobs. Between my static occasionally swapping in off jobs and the pickups at random levels I occasionally see the sync down in the M20s and rarely teens. Most groups that sync are in the M30 range though but that's still pretty respectable exemplar. Even low m40s is way better than unsynched beyond M45.


M0 is a pipe dream that doesn't happen. By the time you find someone M0 they do a run and they're M3 or 4 by the end of it. Finding fresh M0's is nigh impossible. The goal is to be as low as possible, and on asura at least we have quite a lot of pickup shouts so good exemplar gains aren't that uncommon. I stand by the 50k exemplar/run figure I stated. It's what I'm used to seeing.

You can't sync to ML0 anyway, has to be ML1 or above.

My average in Sortie is ~18k/hr or so at ML50.

Ouch, that's rough. When my static first started syncing we had someone at M20. We averaged closed to 70k/hr. Syncing is a massive enhancement to exemplar. You absolutely can do Mlvls with the right setup.

Of course you can sync to M0 not that there's a nominal difference between 0 and 1 but a phenomenal difference between M0 and M30
