Flynn is a perfect example of a Trump official being wiretapped for political purposes.
Rails against media lies.
Has no problem spreading his own.
So remember when I said his supporters don't take him "literally"? This is a prime example.

"Wiretapped" doesn't necessarily mean something specific.
It's not that his supporters don't take him literally... it's that people like you will just lap up whatever excuse he gives for lashing out because he's pissed off about something... I'd be more inclined to take you seriously if you applied any level of scrutiny to what he's done other then yes please trump shove your *** further down my throat...

As it stands trump won't release any information he has that supposedly proves any kind of surveillance took place... the son is dragging their feet looking for extensions in what seems like a bid for time in an attempt to frame this way so trump doesn't come off looking so bad... they have this information at their fingertips yet they won't share any of it but they sure will stoke the flames...

Saying not to take him literally is just giving him a free pass to say whatever the hell he wants to without consequence... unfortunately for him his words weigh heavily when spoken allowed due to his position... he needs to stop throwing tantrums every time someone pisses him off and then have everyone else walk everything back for him so he can save face....

I truly hope trump finds some kind of success as president and that it proves beneficial to America because regardless of the d or r after the name I want what's best for the nation regardless of who gets us there... I was hopeful at first but trump is just acting like a child for all his smarts or previous success... I don't see how that's going to take us into a brighter future...

And man... for all republicans might like to claim that they're better than democrats they sure like to show how they're just as shitty...

Ugh your thinking is such horseshit. This is how everyone knows you're a liberal when you claim to hold some righteous claim to the "independent" throne.

Trump isn't a typical politician, therefore it is inappropriate to treat him as such or expect him to play by the same rules (this is why his supporters love him). He's the outsider who has the Dems, much of the GOP, the media, and the rest of the unelected establishment in DC out to destroy him. They don't want him to succeed and if you can't even acknowledge that cabal and it's insidious self serving intentions, then you're pretty ignorant.

The DC game also isn't "fair" to him in the least and if you can't acknowledge that you're also part of the problem. One side's goal is at the bottom of the hill and the other's is at the top. Why is Trump obliged to play by their rules? He isn't, he's fully able of using his office to further his own agenda by tweeting or going around the media when HE thinks they don't treat him fairly. When he does, his supporters see it as him fighting back against the rigged game and they love him for it.

His supporters know he didn't specifically mean "wire tapping" as in how it used to happen 40 years ago, and we all know he didn't necessarily mean Obama. He loosely meant the previous administration was spying on him for their own political gain. A wild accusation indeed, but no more wild than "Trump colluded with the Russians to hack the election".

Welcome to the new politics Flav.

House Intelligence Chair Says He Doesn't Believe Trump Tower Was Wiretapped

In Wednesday's news conference, Nunes, a Republican from California, added: "President Obama wouldn't physically go over and wiretap Trump Tower. So now you have to decide, as I mentioned to [the press] last week, are you going to take the tweets literally? And if you are then clearly the president was wrong. But if you're not going to take the tweets literally and there is a concern that the president has about other people, other surveillance activities looking at him and his associates — either appropriately or inappropriately — we want to find that out."
So that's where that comes from. The talking point was issued this morning.

Nah, I've put forth that phenomenon in these threads several times before.

Trumps a sales guy, you always have to give them a degree of leeway.

Also... trump campaigned on the promise and continued to say after he was elected he would bring the nation together... right now he's on track to fail just like obama did in that regard... it's really easy to just say oh well the democrats are being little *** now so it makes it hard... well you go into it knowing that we are deeply divided as a nation... it's not like it's an unknown... he almost at times seems deliberately set on keeping people split up...

They protested his very inauguration.

Seriously, they've been out to kneecap his presidency since he was elected. They're the ones solely responsible for dividing the nation.

You have to admit, Trump isn't handing out olive branches either.

No. His words have weight and meaning should be clear. This has no bearing on whether or not he's a traditional politician. It's basic *** communication.

So, if Trump tweets that he likes Ford F-150, does that mean that he hates all other vehicles, or just this specific make? What about year, does he mean the most current year (2017), or all years?

What about GM? Does that mean that he hates GM? Toyota? Wait, he just declared war on Japan! And Germany! And Britain! All in one tweet!

If you think that's being overly factitious, that's how you are treating the whole situation now.

So, putting forward hypotheticals to somehow try to deflect from the real tweets that Trump put out lying about Obama and wiretapping that has his own party calling for retractions? Thats gonna work.

Breaking: Hawaii judge blocks travel ban

Quote:
A federal judge in Hawaii has blocked President Donald Trump's new travel ban on Wednesday afternoon, hours before the ban was set to go into effect.

This ruling means that travelers from six Muslim-majority countries and refugees will be able to travel to the US.
The Trump administration took over a month to rewrite the travel ban order after multiple federal courts blocked its implementation last month.
Unlike the previous executive order, the new one removed Iraq from the list of banned countries, exempted those with green cards and visas, and removed a provision arguably prioritizes certain religious minorities.
Despite this changes, US District Court Judge Derrick Watson concluded that the new executive order still failed to pass legal muster.

Well, that steals the thunder from Trump's Fox interview/tantrum tonight.

There is a rule, specifically for Politics and Religion, that you can attack the topic, not the user.

This rule only applies to conservative posts showing incorrect non-approved ideas. The Progressive posters are allowed to insult people directly as long as they are supporting the correct ideas. By attacking you personally they are furthering the cause.

I know you're just trying to falsely equivocate the two, but I don't recall any figurative discussion on Russian interference in the intelligence reports nor any need to glean some deeper meaning to plainly written language.

Only that every major media outlet refuses to let it go.

You're just trying to justify the tilt in the playing field.
