You do know that it's possible to hate someone so much that everything they do is wrong?

You do know that it's possible for someone to be such a piece of ***that they literally can't do anything to benefit anyone but themselves?

Occam's Razor would suggest that it's more likely for people to not be able to see any good in someone than it is for a person to actually have no good in them.
Competent people have the ability to recognize competence. I would think that In less competent people that ability isn't quite so developed.

I think the people who don't support trump largely don't understand what competence looks like.

Dunning-Kruger effect: a cognitive bias in which low ability individuals suffer from illusory superiority, mistakenly assessing their ability as much higher than it really it is. This bias is attributed to a meta cognitive incapacity on the part of those with low ability to recognize their ineptitude and evaluate their competence accurately.

There is also a corollary where high ability individuals may underestimate their relative competence and erroneously assume that tasks which are easy for them are easy for others.

Liberals as a group certainly seem to have an intense collective Dunning-Kruger effect.

Looks like nausi has been Whooshed.

Did you know it's way easier and less expensive to help there people in their region. In fact for the cost of moving one refugee here, you can help about 12 in one of the neighboring countries in the more stable parts of the Middle East.

So why bring them here at all? Maybe it's because leftists would rather look virtuous on front of the cameras than actually help people.

Which would be fine.

If you were okay with foreign aide and deposing tyrannical world leaders.

But sovereignty is apparently paramount and if they want to be despots oppressing entire portions of their population, who are we to intervene?

Did you know on Sunday, just with his phone trump was able to pull the saudis on board with taking some of these refugees?

The man did more to help these people on one afternoon than obama did in 8 years.

His entire life has been fighting with the press/media and having to defend himself.

Have you considered that there are literally thousands of celebrities in this country and very few of them have the problems he does?

If you're in 100 relationships and they all fail, there's one thing in common with all of them.
He only was targeted by the left when he ran against them. Surely you can see the cause-effect relationship here?
Oh please.

He has hated the media and people who disagree with him for decades.

Remember when Forbes gave an unflattering version of his net worth in the early 90's and he wrote editorials telling everyone how Forbes had it in for him and were jealous?

He is constantly whinging (decades!) about how everyone hates him and how it is not "fair"

That actually didn't happen, Saudi Arabia didn't agree to take in any refugees on Sunday. Nausi is just making things up again.

Good. Because the idea of sending already war-ravaged people into the hands of a shitty country like SA is awful.

The man did more to help these people on one afternoon than obama did in 8 years.
Quote:
"The president requested, and the King agreed, to support safe zones in Syria and Yemen, as well as supporting other ideas to help the many refugees who are displaced by the ongoing conflicts," the statement said.

The Saudi Press Agency, in an initial readout of the call, made no specific mention of safe zones, but said the two leaders had affirmed the "depth and durability of the strategic relationship" between the two countries.

The agency later said "the custodian of the Two Holy Mosques had confirmed his support and backing for setting up safe zones in Syria", but did not mention Yemen, where a Saudi alliance is fighting against the Iran-aligned Houthi group.

A senior Saudi source told Reuters the two leaders spoke for more than an hour by telephone and agreed to step up counter-terrorism and military cooperation and enhance economic cooperation.

In other words, the Saudis continue their policy of indifference to all things positive or negative. Nothing changes.

If he'd actually managed it, I'd have been somewhat impressed.

That said, I don't see how moving people from a war zone to an area relatively near the war zone but 'safer' is better than all the immigrants accepted into the united states under the Obama administration.

Maybe it's because I don't have some nonsense idea that every refugee we accept is slowly building up a full ISIS army within our borders.

Also, Muslims have been getting harrassed, attacked and dehumanized constantly over the last 15 years. But people (Nautilus for example) have that gall to be outraged when a few of them defect to other ideoligiesies that seemingly benefit them.

Saudi support for safe zones in Syria and Yemen vs in Saudi was my mistake in remembering. The point is, that's a more efficient way to help those involved as well as us.

The real problem is, both candidates were equally guilty of this.

One has inherent conflict-of-interest issues due to his investments, the other one actually has solid evidence of conflicts-of-interest during her tenure as Secretary of State and her husband's use of the family's charitable foundation.

No matter who won, there would have been conflicts-of-interest by being President. Luckily, we have a person who (mostly) set aside his investments and given up all power over them to his family members.

Doesn't matter, he had the audacity to run against her majesty and actually win, that makes him a horrible person who can't possible do a decent job!

In all likelihood he'll be mediocre. His greatest achievement will be the massive shock wave that gets set off in the political landscape of both parties as their abject failure to control the election cycle will result in internal changes. Neither party won this election.
