The initial image he posted wasn't really anti-vax, it was anti-Hillary. Which would be unfair to say something about, he should have known better than to dive head first into a subject he's been told repeatedly not to go into.
Why is the conspiracy talk tolerated? Because it doesn't hurt anyone. Trying to convince someone not to get vaccinated or have their kids vaccinated can have serious consequences. It's preferable to not get into it. It's kinda like telling someone that if they drink Draino, it'll clean their colon and prevent cancer but much more passive. Don't do that, it's a bad idea.
