Very OT, but I know there are a few individuals over these boards with experience in this field.
A guy who I have no means to contact atm and won't have for several weeks at least, created a very neat little SW tool that I need to use.
He decided to "hide" the software within multiple 7z files protected by passwords.
There are 3 files, each one inside the previous one, all three protected by passwords.
He gave us the three passwords, but they're encrypted. Anybody has experience with decrypting or encrypting passwords?
Here are the 3 passwords:
BIN PWD1: 703c5d74652c6a39523962605e3e523f7c38283b3d356b71237b66366c3a2f2a
BIN PWD2: 9e6af49d574f1d48d001562f1c5bdeb91bc675f5dfee115784692abba2db2f21
XTR SHA1: a01d1ce745a9c8cbb84350edd75f28c33d5d7ee1
I already decrypted the first one, it was a very simple hex to ascii encryption.
I think I have a clue about the third one (it's probably encrypted with a "sha1" hash, given the hint at start) but I have no bloody clue about the second one, and of course I can't test the third until I solve the second.
Tried over 30 different hashes but no good. Maybe it's a 2 step encryptions, dunno.
Anybody has a clue or tips to give me as how to solve this mystery?
Thanks! :D
