Indeed, and they recorded it all. I know the Burns Paiute tribe has expressed an interest in bringing charges against them since it happened on land they consider to be sacred ground.

Finicum found that out the hard way. Thanks for pointing that out Captain Obvious. From everything I've seen and heard.. Him reaching into his pockets was actually him getting shot once grabbing his side, then getting shot again.. The FBI is refusing to release the dash cam video last I heard as well.. From the helicopter it obvious he got shot and grabbed his side.. Keep getting your news from MSNBC though, its cute. YouTube Video Placeholder (no audio)I don't know what you are looking at here altima, he gets out of the truck, faces the FBI agent on the road, reaches for his pocket, then starts to turn around. At no point does it appear to me as if he was shot by the cop on the road. His body doesn't react as if it has been shot, and his mannerisms don't change. You think he took a bullet there, and just kept on standing on poor footing? I don't. It isn't until he reaches toward his pocket the second time that he gets shot, and he immediately goes down. Replace a black man with a white hillbilly and suddenly everyone's switching sides as to who's at fault.

You think he took a bullet there, and just kept on standing on poor footing? I don't. From the Poor 1080p video it is truly had to tell what is going on. However, at no point does it appear he was shot by the cop on the road, you're right. He could have been shot twice by the cop in the treeline and that would make his mannerisms that do change support that theory. Until I see a dash cam vid with some audio that the FBI is REFUSING to release and find out how many times the guy was actually shot, I'm not jumping the gun here.. It is amazing how little evidence it takes for you people to condone an unarmed white guy who barring said evidence appears to be running for his life. Also, when this went down, originally it was reported that state troopers did this during a routine traffic stop. Obviously it is FBI and there is nothing routine about it. Shiva.Viciousss said: » It isn't until he reaches toward his pocket the second time that he gets shot, and he immediately goes down. Edit. Quote: This would also explain why FBI special agent Greg Bretzing refused to tell the media how many times Finicum was shot. If it really was only once, the one time when Finicum lands in the snow, if it was only that simple, why not just say Finicum was shot once? Why did Bretzing give the ambiguous answer that the number of times Finicum was shot was in the “single digits”? Until a video is released with sound, there is simply no way to prove the official police version of events here. Ulthakptah said: » Candlejack said: » Indeed, and they recorded it all. The .303 is on better than I thought. People are asking for dashcams and bodycams, the way the vehicles were set up, they were prepared to face the suspects on the road, you can plainly see all of the trucks pointed that way, none of them were prepared to capture footage happening past the roadblock. I'm not convinced there actually is a dashcam that captured the incident, and I am pretty sure FBI agents don't wear body cams.
Either way, he was shot by the agent in the treeline, maybe twice, but the shots happened at the same time. He wasn't shot early by the agent on the road or the guy in the treeline. This all happened after he tried to kill one of the agents so, there really are no conspiracy theories here. Shiva.Viciousss said: » there really are no conspiracy theories here. I'll always be on the same side of the issue with officer involved shootings. Shiva.Viciousss said: » Which is? Wait, you automatically blame the cop even though 99.9999999 times out of a 100 the "victim" pulls the gun and shoots first or makes a threatening motion where, in a split second, the cop has to assume a projectile weapon and has to act to save himself?
Perhaps you should re-evaluate your definition of conspiracy theories, lol.

Want to prove me wrong? Show us where somebody in this thread is making a conspiracy theory. No, I automatically question why anyone had to die. You automatically blaming the dead is actually worse than someone automatically blaming the cop, do you even America, bro? Who did I accuse of making up a conspiracy theory? I simply stated there weren't any. I also did not put forth a conspiracy theory. Good luck trying to find a stawman from me as well. I know your bored, but find some other person to troll.

No, I automatically question why anyone had to die. You automatically blaming the dead is actually worse than someone automatically blaming the cop, do you even America, bro? Blame? It's irrelevant. Here's the way it works: A man is accused of a crime, a man runs from police, the man is dead. Know what steps are missing? DUE PROCESS. That's the important bit, more than throwing around inflammatory words or any manner of social politics. A person is dead for being accused of a crime, by definition that person is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. People want to drum on about 1st amendment this, 2nd amendment that, but people don't seem to have a clue why there are 8 others. Candlejack said: » What we know: They did find a gun in his coat pocket. He dropped his hands three times before he was shot to death. He more than likely refused to obey the cops when ordered not to move and to keep his hands where they could see them. The cops also knew about his prior threats of not surrendering. How many times have authorities said that someone was armed only to find out they were talking on a cell phone? How many times are drugs or weapons planted by crooked authorities? How many times have they made public statements we later found out were untrue? You've got a pretty low bar for what you consider fact. The warrant they had for him apparently wasn't signed by a judge as well.
Altimaomega said: » The warrant they had for him apparently wasn't signed by a judge as well. I'm not sure how they could obtain a warrant without a signature, seeing as the judge is the one who actually issues it. Even in federal proceedings, it's the court that issues the warrant, not law enforcement. Either way, the warrant isn't really relevant to his death, at least in the sense that he fled a traffic stop, so they would have probable cause to detain him even if they didn't have a warrant for his arrest. Wasn't the "traffic stop" conducted because of the "warrant".
Altimaomega said: » Wasn't the "traffic stop" conducted because of the "warrant". Could have something to do with armed occupation of a government building as well. I don't recall hearing an official "reason" why they were being stopped. Just a lot of journalist commentary. That would be more understandable put that is the one thing I have not heard lol.
Altimaomega said: » That would be more understandable put that is the one thing I have not heard lol. Yeah, but since the FBI and Oregon State Troopers aren't making a lot of statements, it's just background noise. |
