Ok, So I Just 20 Mins Ago Got Hacked...

I have gotten 2 tells like this in past 2 days. I just respond and tell them to go F**K themselves. THen they log out. After this i send a complaint to a GM. Hopefully they can trace there name to a login, idk.

By the way, every single FFXIAH reader should go to this site and just add random, fake stuff.

They need to try harder, for something that gets alot of GM calls you'd atleast think they'd know how it looks like when a GM talks to you, i mean why don't they even put the Gm infront? or can you not simply do that...

Well not sure if SE can sue the site though they prob can since the RMT are trying to actually be them, unlike the gil sites where they only offer gil and such.

Just as an add-in for people to spread around in case they know people who are likely to fall for this I'll recommend the Web of Trust extension for Firefox. Marks bad websites as such and warns when you navigate to them through a community process of rating. I can say that the playonline.tc is marked as dangerous!

tbh, i dont really rate your opinion Tbest, and couldnt care less if your glad or not. I just posted to give people a warning. Like i said, id been outta game, and not heard about all the scams. Plus id just switched over from Odin, where none of this was happening. And just cos my account got hacked doesnt mean i wont still be playing...

And as far as im concerned, this issue is done with. Il be reactivating my frozen account in the next few days, so problem solved. As i said, they didnt have long enough, or even get in to take my gear, so all ive lost out on is a few days game play. No biggie seeing as im busy with RL anyway.

hopefully you've learned your lesson and NOT trust internet folk. Just like most of the smart of us say, any institution that you have encrypted access to(i.e. banks, FFXI, etc), will NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER ask for your private information to verify anything, BECAUSE THEY ALREADY HAVE IT ON FILE!.

It honestly is hard for me to feel bad for people who fall for such obvious retardation. I mean, getting your account hacked is horrible, lots of time spent taken from you.
