So I'm camping the murex in sky and I can't make heads or tails of how they behave. They don't aggro or link, but there's times where I'll be fighting and the next thing I know I'm being ganged up on and then I'm dead. Any one that can explain wtf is going on?

In Abyssea, they aggro Job Abilities at nighttime. Probably the same in Escha - Ruann.

That would make sense as to why it only happens here and there...
