I just don't get that mindset.

These are not people who subscribe to notions like "nuance" or "facts"

some of us think LGBT is one of TGIFridays competitors and wonder why there aren't more restaurants in our area....

Trump represents the "blow it all up" vote, and that's what they actually want.

I just don't get that mindset.

I get wanting to fix the current system.

But...they're not really alike in any way other than wanting the current system changed. There are similarities on the surface, but they're two very, very, very different people when it comes to how to go about these changes.
Just have whoever wins nominate the other VP. This way you can dismantle and fix it all at the same time. Though the odds of either one of them accomplishing and doing much of what they campaigned on to begin with are slim to none.

we're the tragic consequence of not staying globally competitive in education!....

when the smoke finally clears and alien anthropologists sift through the rubble they will wonder blankly why we were so resistant to year round school...

You sir, are forgetting the wisdom of Homer Simpson.

Clearly the place you go to both create and fix all of life's problems.

Both look like they could be the Night's King.

Though Buckley fluctuated a bit on his stances. Was nor a fan of the Bushes but a fan of Conservatism with a capital C nit that baby c stuff people eat up these days.

He speaks about issues directly opposite of what Bernie talks about. Put them together and you have a more complete President.

On a serious note they're great for laughs especially their notion that they're the ones that executed the Louisiana Purchase then had their land stolen from them by the government.

And some of us are in the sad situation where we make fun of him on a regular basis and will still probably end up having to vote for him.

There's always a choice.

It's just is keeping Hillary out of office your hill to die on? Otherwise you could always write in a candidate you believe in.

I mean, it won't do much good, but you'll have done all you could.

I often see people complaining libertarians don't get enough votes. Um if you don't like either of the major parties candidates maybe vote for them? It might be the time they get enough to at least get the spotlight that sets a basis for the future if you care about that platform.

The only wasted vote is abstention.

The problem is that most people who claim to be libertarian aren't. They're actually conservatives who don't want to be associated with the mainstream GOP for various reasons. They're the right wing folk the Kochs brainwashed into think they're libertarians, basically.

Real libertarians are actually kind of hard to come by.

An addendum: Chaos is really the only poster I can think of who might really qualify as a real libertarian. Pretty hands-off on all issues both fiscal and social.

sad situation

I still don't understand the "putting all the coal miners out of work" speech..who got fired for that garbage?.

put them all out of work why? because...nobody likes hillbillies? from west virginia? or their union didn't kick enough cash back upstairs?

Dear Dumbasses you can use coal to make useful things like steel.... like steel girders...used to build bridges... and we could maybe rebuild our bridges and infrastructure...create even more jobs... actually do something that would positively effect the economy rather than donate money we don't have to reeducate the hilljacks? They're fricken dwarves! they dig holes. wtf else are they gunna do!?

Well.. You got to consider that global definitions and American definitions are not the same/universal. So as a European your prospective what is libertarian will more than likely not match up with Ramyrez's, albeit cynical, take on "libertarians"
