Exactly. But they cared enough to try, and that's a good sign. People who stand for something until their candidate loses then immediately put on the Trump/Clinton hat are worthless. I can understand voting for someone to keep the other one out of office, but you don't have to be quiet about your disdain for your own side's candidate while you do it.

The 2020 elections will really force out the worst in people, because whoever opposes Trump/Clinton will almost be guaranteed to be better than whoever the president is, so the party with the president is going to witch hunt the opponent to extremes and it's not going to be pretty.

I'm willing to hop the fence for one election cycle if it means getting a president that's a good human being. We'll see who the partisan hacks really are approaching 2020.

Why don't you go ask a Clinton supporter that? I don't want Bernie out there chasing windmills when his window to be the nominee is over. He's said numerous times if he didn't get it he'd switch to downballot and stopping Trump.

That's what I can hope. That Sanders cultivates a downballot movement for more progressive candidates so we get less Clintons and more Sanders type leaders.

I Hope he splits the Democratic party in half as well. Good riddance.
