I absolutely cannot stand ">_>" and "<_<" or any variants of the two. People have used them for a plethora of reasons over the years; some a bit more casually than others. However, the trend I've noticed the most is that they're used when an individual wants to say, "uhhh, you're a *** retard?" It just comes off as really *** rude to me; especially when a person makes a simple mistake or typo that is easily seen through and corrected in one's head without being said.
