If I want a smug person to tell me what to do/think I'll get married. Sorta like being a Scientist.

Marry better people. :p

You show me someone worth marrying I'd like to live in that utopia.
Call yourself A Sexual, and claim you want to marry yourself.

I'd have gone with Foni Cation.
That would work with Fonewear.

Here comes the smugness about how we are wrong.

A real scientist has enough confidence in their work to stand behind it, but will seek out other methods for confirming, and refuting the methods used, in the interest of seeking a better method or result.

That was fast, lol.
Just a different opinion. You have yours, I have mine. I simply elaborated on mine.

Neither are wrong, but if that's your opinion... "insertyoudon'tknowhwhatarealscientistdoes.jpg"
Sounds like we need a scientific analysis of scientists.

Unfortunately it wouldn't be the government funding the study. Much like how drug companies are the ones funding studies into their own drugs, it would probably be funded by other scientists.

The pursuit of knowledge won't help you buy a yacht, a vacation house, and a flux capacitor enabled time machine.

Facts get you into trouble we need more biased opinions in this world !

The real leaders of the world tell you what you want to hear.

And if you disagree you are wrong.

Infectious disease after disease waned to extremely low levels numerous years before 20th century vaccines were even invented.

I did think this was kinda funny...

Quote:
Our vision is a world of improved health where decisions about health and health care are informed by high-quality, relevant and up-to-date synthesised research evidence.

Quote:
Although http://www.cochrane.org is designed to provide accurate and authoritative information in regard to the subject matter covered, we make no representations and give no warranties with respect to the accuracy or completeness of the information. By giving you this information we are not giving any form of advice or recommendation and we do not intend you to rely upon it when making (or refraining from making) any decision. The Information is not a substitute for the exercise of professional judgement. If you are not qualified or experienced enough to make that judgement, you should take professional advice.

We're totally giving you advice but you're not supposed to believe it or follow it. I don't know if this is just a symptom of our sue-happy naive culture or what. I don't know anything about their organization, but they're based in the UK, so I couldn't find much else with a quick search. However, they do cite their own findings but they don't link the actual study or compilation, so there's that.

That's quite the collection of completely dishonest graphs and obscure journal citations. Your forays into the irrelevant side of the internet are always amusing.

I should show this to all my physician friends. They like a good laugh at "science" a 5th grader could refute.

Rates of disease and the variety of diseases we suffer have been increasing in the same period that we've been vaccinating. Surely that's proof that vaccinations are killing us! It couldn't possibly be related to the fact that we're not all dying before our 40th birthdays.

Anyone watch BBC's Downton Abbey? It portrays upper class Britain a mere 100 years ago and it tends to kill off two major characters per season, which makes it frighteningly accurate of life expectancy back when my grandparents were being born. The only character who has managed to be diagnosed with a chronic disease, the kind we have a lot of these days, is the family dog (cancer).

...For one. A TV show for your analogy.. My wife watches that isn't there like 80yr olds running around. One for sure that I know of, the one from harry potter.

It cute how you credit vaccines for living longer and not the better and cleaner way of life of the last century. Not to mention that Penicillin was discovered in 1929 by Alexander Flemming. If people should be praising anything it should be antibiotics, vitamins, plumbing...

Again, not saying all vaccines are bad. But talking about forcing all vaccines on people is asinine to say the least.
