Dancing Salvage Bans.
No, I meant that as a response to Verda even though it's not really related to his Mordion Gaol comment.
And let's not forget the priceless drama in Dragon's Aery. That crushing lag, purple-popped Fafnir's/Nidhogg's and GM visits truly were the makings of memories back then - all for a blue sword.

God I miss capped entry Dynamis-Xarc. What the *** were we thinking. I had almost forgotten what it was like to spam in shouts without the 20-30 second delay (or whatever the timer is on it).

Yeah, if you get banned, you are banned. Forums won't help you solve the problem. Forum posting is a medium you use for venting your, "OMG NOT MEEEEE!!!" flustered ego. All the times you said, "My ls beats that nm everyday, it's easy lol." Then one day SE pays attention, and someone in the office at SE was talking trash, just like you, and said to another colleague, "Dave, I bet you never banned anyone in your life because your a noob, I bet you don't even know how to ban anyone." Dave replied, "I can ban whenever the f i want. Ok, looky looky here naw, you see this kid here, lets check his gear real quick, ohohohohoho what is this? WHAT IS THIS!? he has no movement gear, and is playing solo on his level 10 dark knight, and is moving 12% faster... than the rest of the mobs, but this cannot be. Now, watch closely, *click*, you see? Izsoooo haaaard, omg. Now all I gotta is screen shot the data, done, copy paste in my report, done... right... that's lunch."

YouTube Video Placeholder Btw, about the case of innocent mule being banned in vomp hill 30 mins after report, if that indeed happened, it was a clear exception.
I said that because my experience reporting rmts never ever resulted in any practical measure in less than 2 months, and suposing my report had anything to do with that. Last time that i reported those rmts was in christmas. Since last week, i never saw them again (it was a total of 12 chars than used to take 3 dynamis turns a day, and explicity using flee hacks, possibly pos hacks too). But they always comes back and since this week, a new char with title "new adventure" appeared with his bazaar filled of goods. I just waited him to make his suspicious transaction, and it was done yesterday: 150m paid for 2 "two of cups card". I repoorted him yesterday, not an innocent mule but a real rmt, and even after 24h, hes still healthy in upper jeuno. Lets see how long it will take to be banned. I dont doubt at some time it will disapear (its like the 4th bazaar char since i noticed him in august), but insta ban? I really really doubt. Btw, i think i made a mythic buying alex from just one char...
(In around 2 weeks btw) People do server jump, and bring back alex. Or, could've decided to cancel the mythic he had been saving up for. There's no legit way to prove anyone is cheating. It's all hearsay. And apparently that's good enough right now.
No contact, No evidence, No proof, No verification required. Used to be a time when you had to be caught doing shady ***, not anymore. Obviously the bans aren't instant. Pretty sure no one banned in this recent wave has been legitimately "caught" doing anything. It's weeks/months after the fact. The one vomp hill thing, is an outlier. But an odd one. Could've been simply due to the fact that it was a "new adventurer" and all new players are officially RMT making a new account, by SE standards. Offline

Quote: There's no legit way to prove anyone is cheating. Today, in my delve, someone died in the middle of a mob pack. They then slid across the ground all the way to the party and reraised. But no, they clearly weren't cheating. We've also designated many different scenarios where we've been seeing people bot. Nah, they weren't cheating either. In Dynamis, I sometimes see people running across the field at an extremely fast pace, on a job that can't get that much movement speed. Totally not cheating. I saw someone popping behemoth at a rate faster than the spawn point can appear, while other people were waiting too. How did they do that? Must be magic. A lot of the screenshots posted here on FFXIAH have people with a GM/SE symbol next to their name. I didn't know you could get that without cheating. How can you even make that statement? Quote: No contact, No evidence, No proof, No verification required. Used to be a time when you had to be caught doing shady ***, not anymore. And how are you aware that said people didn't get caught? How do you know there was no proof? Any person could have easily been reported in the act, or seen by a GM. You have no clue, at all. They are not required to make contact with you. There is no "verification", what are they going to verify? You should just stop droning on the same thing when it has already been proven false numerous times. The people getting banned are in fact the ones that cheated. I'd say they're doing their job properly. The number of false bans is minimal to none. No one came up with a better answer to my question then Magic? I am disappointed.

People clip and run really fast to kill mobs at highly optimal speeds. Otherwise, gear helps, high treasure hunter, and some of the new changes. For example, Dancer steps got reduced in cooldown to a very small amount, so proccing job abilities is very easy now. Asura.Crevox said: » And how are you aware that said people didn't get caught? How do you know there was no proof? I can tell you my mule didn't get caught doing jackshit. This much is absolute fact. And if it's true once, it's true more than once. This much is absolute fact. And if it's true once, it's true more than once. Did you call SE? I thought they explained to you the reasons behind bans if you called, or even reversed them if they were false. Besides that, in the email, they had a reason stated. What was the reason? Sometimes, false bans happen. The majority of the time, they are correct; you just may not know the reason. Here's the bottomline.
Wasn't caught doing anything, banned anyway. Accused. W/o proof. It's clear that they don't NEED proof, they're allowed to do whatever they want. But if they're gonna *** their way through it, it's pretty disgusting to see people whiteknight their actions. Quetzalcoatl.Valli said: » Here's the bottomline. But if they're gonna *** their way through it, it's pretty disgusting to see people whiteknight their actions. You're dodging the question. I am attempting to get onto your side, but you're making it difficult. The way I see it, he thinks SE has no right to ban him unless they catch him in red handed so that he can use what ever feeble excuse he has at hand to try and talk himself out of it.
There's a saying "everything is legal until you get caught".
Emphasis on GET CAUGHT. I speed. Every. Single. Day. I've never got a ticket in the mail saying, hey we heard you like to speed, here's your ticket. No, the police have to ACTUALLY SEE YOU speeding. The no proof part is the problem. Youre basing all your arguments in the premise what you are doing is undetectable.
So i repeat the question, were your mule running a long script so that can be noticed as boting? Or it was in fact a manual input of /lastsynth? Supose youre in fact clean (and im not considering using windower as enough measure to ban otherwise we would have higher number of banned atm). So that means or their system is flawed and is banning real innocent people. Now supose that in fact you were running a long script of /lastsynth. You could be classified as boting. If you says you were doing this, that means SE methods are more effective than you think, so your premise of crime perfect is flawed. And you don't think FFXI has the equivalent of speed cameras?
Great you know to avoid them in real life, but apparently you've missed a couple in game. It IS undetectable. There is zero difference between a legit command:
/lastsynth wait 10 seconds /lastsynth and a script command: /lastsynth pause 10 /lastsynth (let's be clear I do neither of those). Far as the "speed cameras" highly doubtful, they do have rats though. Rat pieces of ***. Who's word is bond. You know who I'm talking about. |
