Sorry to say, but sword fighting with long swords is not swashbuckling like this. In fact in his video they are not utilizing some useful parts of the weapon.

I can't find the video I really wanted to, but this is more accurate imo than the OP's video

that and there were different eras where different fighting styles were used.

Can't do that with LARP's foam swords.

You can come quite close in the Society for Creative Anachronism. Their weapons are usually made of rattan and the best of them balance like the real thing. Even so they do not move quite like steel.

I learned sword and shield, greatsword, and polearm with them.

LARP weapons are generally foam/latex with a solid ABS or similar core.

They're "soft", but so is a paintball.

You get aggressive enough and you'll have the bruises to show for it.
