Depending on the type of simulacrum segment, special monsters will spawn that affect the entire skirmish. These special monsters will affect players by giving two types of positive and negative effects, and depending on your job you'll be able to gain an edge by using these special effects. We hope you have fun organizing parties to go along with the types of simulacrum segments you possess. Brds are the great winners in this new skirmsh.

Or is this a special case because it is an instrument? The alternative would be +6 and +7 songs, which seems unlikely. We did around 20 skirmishes last night, all 3/3/3 using all 5 pieces of eudaemon, the only noticable difference, was that using a Ring would always spawn an NPC that would asisst you in killing the enemies. The Quick Cast +2% is definitely interesting.
Atm, I've been pretty timid from putting stones into my flute, but here are some augs I've seen. Snowslit: Acc+1, Att+1, Def+4, pewp Snowdim: MAB+4 Snowdim +1: MAB+11, MAB+12 Leafdim: Conserve MP+1 So atm sitting at MAB+12 and Conserve MP+1 on the flute; pretty stoked about it for Nukes/Ele WSs lol Really curious to see what kind of potential there is with the Flute in terms of DD/Nuking aspects. Does anyone happen to know where the All Songs augment is coming from? Would like to try to avoid that and I don't think I've seen it mentioned yet anywhere. Offline

Apparently, depending on the Eudaemon, it augments the Skirmish. Did quite a few of them today and we used a Sword for one, right after we examined an NPC, we then got a cut-scene with a butterfly which took us right to the mega boss of the zone, which was a Skeleton that reminded me awfully a lot of Kefka in a citadel-like battle arena. It was pretty cool. But since using any other parts, we haven't been able to replicate it.

Seems dumb to spam the rarest stone over and over until you get this, which is still worse than relic horn, while you could save the time to build your relic horn instead.

I got this aug on my second snowdim stone +2 and the occ quickens spellcasting 2% was off 1 nq leafdim. There was no "spamming over and over" although others might not be so lucky. Thanks for putting this pic up for me btw atticus :)

While you are right, couple things Someone had to be the one to try it out, and couldn't have possibly spent all that many stones on it. Though "that many" is relative to the reader. The only thing I can agree with is that it's stupid to augment these at all, knowing full well that the augments WILL certainly get erased when they get +1'd, for one simple fact. They suck even with AMAZING augs right now, so they HAVE to be upgraded. And in that upgrading process I hope we've all learned by now what to expect. If the augment isn't horribly difficult to get, it's a nice mule option at least. Be interesting to see if it goes any higher than the +2 :O
So I got a Linos and decided to go throw some of the stones I got on it after reading this thread, since they weren't selling anyways.
Same stones as Trixtaar posted (Snowdim+2 and NQ leafdim). Only had one of each and one attempt: It might be just coicidence, but if the augment from +2 is static, or easy to get, this is a really nice mule option! (Or a nice non-hardcore player option) Edit, for science!: Snowdim +2 = All songs +2 (First slot) Leafdim = Quick Magic +1 (Second slot) Snowslit +1 = MaB +1 (Overwrote first slot) Leafslit = PDT -1% (Overwrote second slot) Snowtip +1 = Evasion +11, DEF+5, MaB+1 (Overwrote first slot) Snowdim +1 = MaB +1 (Overwrote first slot) Snoworb +1 = Magic Evasion +1, Magic Evasion +9 (Overwrote first slot) Snowtip +2 = Attack +12 (Overwrote first slot) Leaftip +2 = STP +3 (Overwrote second slot) Doubt it beats ginsen, but nifty I guess. Damn nice calipso. For me its a massive inventory saver as I don't have ghorn yet. The biggest benefit would be ballad +3 as I already had all the other +3 instruments. It'll do for now for a flute you can throw a stone or 2 at after running this content and maybe getting lucky for the price of nothing? I'd say its decent.
Yeah, having a better ballad than the +1 instrument that isn't G-horn is pretty nice.
This along with Terpander really should make brd more of an easier thing the average player can still do pretty decently. Be great to see some 2handed weapon augs... I've heard of people getting acc or att and double attack on some weapons not seen any yet tho.

Which is a good thing. would've been nice if this was a harp instead of another wind instrument though, would be handy for situations where you can't get near melee range without risking deaths... So looks like these weapons can hold two augments. One of the "Snow" category, and one of the "Leaf" category.
