Ebola Patient Coming to U.S.
The last thing to come from my blood filled mouth will be that Bush lied, people died. You'll have to pry the partisan politics from my evacuated bowel movements, I'll never give in.
We know sparth, we know.

If you kill America we will just take over Canada.

Obviously Kara and Pleebo.
So we're here, again putting millions of American's at needless risk by not quarantining/restricting people/flights coming back from the Ebola infected regions of the world. Maybe this guy will be lucky and no one else will get infected, maybe not. But what about the next guy that brings it into the country? How many times will we need to luck out before the CDC and the administration will do it's job?

Shouldn't doctors checking out of the hotzone be on cooldown until after the period in which Ebola is expected rather than this self-diagnosis bit? Having docs out of commission 3 weeks after dealing with a deadly microbe isn't exactly a long time. Having docs out of commission 3 weeks after dealing with a deadly microbe isn't exactly a long time. 3 weeks out of commission is better for the nation and the world as a whole than spreading such a deadly and contagious disease. Even one where "it can't spread" and all that BS they feed us about it all the time. Funny. The system works like it's supposed to and it's just "luck". Meanwhile, the situation in Texas has been completely contained, but it's just "BS". You guys are silly.
How many more breakouts would it take for you to admit that the CDC isn't doing it's job, Pleebo?
1? 2? 5? 500? All of America? I'm guessing that even if every human being in America was infected, you would still say that the CDC is doing it's job... Saying "more breakouts" implies that there's been a breakout here in the first place. So I guess when one actually happens we can start there.

Having docs out of commission 3 weeks after dealing with a deadly microbe isn't exactly a long time. Exactly. I know medical volunteers from some other countries are being quarantined before returning to their home nations, so why not here? Even if quarantine isn't being enforced, you'd think a semi-intelligent Doctor, having dealt with Ebola, would have been cautious upon returning to USA by limiting contact with the outside world. But noooooooope. "Quarantine? Screw that, I'm going bowling." Offline

This should have been done months ago. If you wanna go help other country's with Ebola or visit family W/E good for you. Don't expect to come back without being quarantined. This is common sense and shouldn't be Political in the slightest. It's shocking that in the law-regulation heavy country that we are becoming that this didn't already exist. P.S. Don't forget to sign up for your government mandated Health Care, fines are gonna be kicking in soon! P.S.S. It's sad that people cannot tell the difference between these subjects. I love the irony of saying it shouldn't be a political matter then directly injecting politics into it with your postscript. 9/10, would lol again.
Anyway, what NY/NJ did was basically tell aid workers to go to another airport so they don't have to deal with them. The self-monitoring works because people will be more forthcoming with their situation if they aren't threatened with a mandatory 21-day hospital stay. The infected doctor in NY did everything right. He self-monitored and reported symptoms as soon as they occurred. Now people like him will just avoid the affected airports or, worse yet, be discouraged from helping with the real outbreaks in Africa. Yay? |
