An alien race would take 1 look at us and decide that contact would be a prelude to an inevitable war, since we can't get on with each other as a planet what hope does a race from another planet have.
Yeah, you'd think we'd be smarter than to start a war with a technologically superior entity, but seeing as how there's some context for that already in this thread, I have my doubts.
and bring forth masterchief and give him a ton of marines as sacrifices so he can trade empty plasma weapons for battle rifles
Calling *** on this. Everyone knows the Gen1 Magnum is the ultimate weapon.

It's funny how often Hamas breaks the ceasefires, don't they realize that causes them to die that much faster...

It's funny how often Hamas breaks the ceasefires, don't they realize that causes them to die that much faster... Hamas fighters and leadership aren't doing most of the dying, civilians are. And that's the plan....

What's the last war that had leaders on the battlefield? The American Revolution?
When I see Obama pick up a rifle and bayonet I'll Medal of Honor my way onto a battlefield.

Define leaders. Washington wasn't really an American Leader until after the fact. As early as World War II I can think of at least two Generals who were on front-line battlefields, Erwin Rommel and George Patton. Nobody remembers the African campaigns.

IMHO Hitler made three great mistakes. #3 was wasting the talents of the greatest 20th century general in what he considered a sideshow.
A GREAT read on Rommel: The Rommel Papers. It was written from Rommel's diaries and letters by his son and the British officer who invented the blitzkrieg.

I'll have to put that on the list, I typically don't read a lot during the summer because it's hard to concentrate when the temperature and humidity of the entire day (including night) is a match for being trapped under a fat man's nutsack.

Agreed. Had Hitler listened to Rommel later in the war, things may have turned out differently.
And the Civil War had all ranks on the battlefield in all major engagements. After that, I'm not sure.

If you think it's "irrelevant" then you're blind. This is a very effective strategy to create more radicals willing to toss their life away to kill more Israel/NA/EU citizens.
Unless you can kill every single Radical Muslim in the world, it's not gonna bring peace. It's only going to create more and more terrorist organization.
Muslims and Islam itself arent the problem, its the radical element who twist the faith to their own political/hateful needs that are the ultimate problem. As long as you have one radicalized psuedo-Imam you will have multitudes of followers that will only multiply as one either blows themselves up, or gets blown up by "enemy" fire.
Quote: Do you think "radical element" can pop out of nowhere? lol
The radical element which twisted the faith into their own hateful needs is the action from Israel.
If you live in a peaceful world with no war, and you have food, family and a well paid job, will you ever bother think about tossing your life away to kill your enemy? I doubt it, unlebss you're insane.
If you live in a world where ppl drop bombs above your head and all your family are dead, and ppl been telling you "they're your enemy! They're evil? See what they did? They kill innocent!" for your entire life, will you toss your life away to kill your enemy? Probably yes?
Yes. A lot of the hate groups in the United States don't have a real reason to hate their target group, other than that's how they were raised, or they got mixed in with the wrong group at some point and do it because that's all they know.
How do you know?
Are you a Muslim living in the US? How come they don't target other countries?
Also they're raised that way because whoever tried to brainwash them got textbook example to create hatred toward their target. And now Israel is creating more textbook examples which will be used to brainwash more terrorists.

And now Israel is creating more textbook examples which will be used to brainwash more terrorists. Obviously you know very little about the US, and about the kind of groups that exist to spread hatred of other groups of people.
Klu Klux Klan spread hatred against anyone who wasn't a "Pure, white, Christian", most prominently people of African descent, there are church groups, like The Westboro Babtist Church (among others) who spread hatred against people for being gay.
Their intent is to spread such mass information, that it's indistinguishable from the truth. "The Middle East is at war because my neighbor is a homosexual"! has been heard before.
"I can't get no jerb because that there Mexican was hired instead!" (Chances are, he's actually more qualified, and doesn't come off as a complete retard)
"I was rejected from my University of choice because black people!"
The list goes on.
Additionally, people try to use the "Freedom of speech" card incorrectly in these matters, when private entities demand they be removed from their premises. Or that Freedom of Speech doesn't protect hate speech that provokes people to violence. Or that Freedom of Speech does not absolve one of slander or libel in a civil suit.

So a few minutes before the ceasefire took effect, Hamas fires off some rockets, and get bombed for it. Smart.

Seems typical for the PR war they're waging. Do horrible act, cause Israel to Retaliate under compromising circumstances, repeat 'til FFXIAH thread reaches 100pages.

So, how can you have enemies if you don't disagree with anyone?

Not sure why "knowledge about the US" is even relevant in this discussion since discrimination/spreading hate can happen anywhere.
However, there's still a huge difference between "Hating on certain groups" and "Hate them enough to toss your life away to kill them".

War = you shoot rockets at them.

Supposedly the boycot is "working" in France; not only they changed the code bar of Israel on some product; but some product from Israel got a false "from france" label lol.
Some shop even removed all the product on those list that supposedly support Israel.
