What would you do against a stronger enemy that doesn't care about UN resolution, that keep adding new unlawfull settlement according to the same UN?

Good question. Making them angrier and breaking ceasefires would be the last thing I'd do. Not only because the rockets aren't even doing much besides antagonizing them, but because if I let Israel be the only aggressor then I would have a much stronger case against them. Seriously, if Hamas would stop firing their stupid rockets, shut down their own stupid tunnels, and knock it off with the terrorist bullcrap, there wouldn't even be a discussion going on right now if Israel were attacking.

Maybe if the UN put more than one merit into it, their Resolutions would be stronger. You think about that.

Holy crap, I'd never thought about that. You should be in the U.N., Zic.

I definitely have the temperament for a diplomatic occupation. I hate working and I love pissing people off for no good reason. I'm incapable of admitting mistakes and I'll sell out my friends at the drop of a hat (full of money). Like a glove, am I right?

Yeah, but rocket attacks won't either, so maybe they should try, well, something that might actually work and not get their own people murdered. Crazy thought, I know.

There is nothing they can do, settlement will never stop; they just can't accept it.

Israel said it would unilaterally hold fire in most of the Gaza Strip on Monday to facilitate the entry of humanitarian aid and allow some of the hundreds of thousands of Palestinians displaced by an almost four-week-old war to go back to home.

The announcement, made first to Palestinian media, met with suspicion from Gaza's dominant Hamas Islamists and followed unusually strong censure from Washington at the apparent Israeli shelling on Sunday of a U.N.-run shelter that killed 10 people.

An Israeli defense official said the ceasefire, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m, would apply everywhere but areas of the southern town of Rafah where ground forces have intensified assaults after three soldiers died in a Hamas ambush there on Friday.

"If the truce is breached, the military will return fire during the declared duration of the truce," the official said.

The official said east Rafah was the only urban area in which troops and tanks were still present, having been withdrawn or redeployed near Gaza's border with Israel over the weekend.

Israel is winding down its offensive in the absence of a mediated disengagement deal with Hamas. It says the military is close to completing its main objective of destroying cross-border infiltration tunnels from Gaza and prepared to resume strikes in response to any future attacks by the Palestinians.
Censured over shelter deaths, Israel declares seven-hour Gaza truce
Well, that was fast.

Quote:
Palestinians and Israel accused each other of breaking a seven-hour ceasefire intended to allow humanitarian aid into the battered Gaza Strip soon after it came into force on Monday.

Palestinians said Israel had bombed a refugee camp in Gaza City, killing an eight-year-old girl and wounding 29 other people, while Israel said at least four rockets had been fired at its territory from Gaza.

Gaza Health Ministry spokesman Ashraf Al-Qidra said the air strike on a house in Shati camp took place after the truce was scheduled to start on Monday morning.

An Israeli military spokeswoman said she was checking the refugee camp attack. She said four rockets had been fired from Gaza since the truce started and two had crashed inside Israel. There were no reports of casualties or damage.

In Jerusalem, a heavy construction vehicle slammed into a bus, overturning it in what Israeli police said was a suspected terrorist attack. No passengers were on the bus but a passerby died after being run over by the digger, and police said its driver was shot dead. Israeli media identified the driver as a Palestinian from East Jerusalem.

Israel announced a ceasefire to free up humanitarian aid and allow some of the hundreds of thousands of Palestinians displaced by almost four weeks of war to go home.

The announcement met with suspicion from Gaza's ruling Islamist Hamas movement and followed unusually strong censure from Washington at the apparent Israeli shelling on Sunday of a U.N.-run shelter that killed 10 people.

1, there are no settlements in Gaza.

2, getting their own people killed IS the plan.

Too bad the monotheisms are intolerant and command adherents to be at odds with outsiders. Islam goes out of its way to shame, demean and humiliate outsiders if you don't straight put them to the scimitar.

Or just attend Unitarian Universalist church where you're basically in the atheist camp but still enjoy the trappings of church culture. I think the Native Americans had it right - consume some peyote and find God.

Wish I could just create my own religion and pull in millions of followers and have it basically be about myth/ancient history lessons with the promotion of just being a nonviolent decent person and good will.

You can. Just convince enough rich people to donate money to your cause - mostly bored heiresses and washed up trust fund babies looking for some guidance and sense of adventure.

Before you know it, people will be calling you the next Scientologists and from there you're well on your way to Mormonism and then - the world! Bonus points if you avoid falling into cult status and actually manage to get some young people at your back.

How many times has OP posted in this thread? It's obviously a big issue that's weighing heavily on his mind.

You've all been discussing a situation for 86 pages that the OP forgot about before the end of page 1?
