Following your logic:

We elected the government that funded jihadists against the Russians.
Said jihadists turn the jihad against the US due to US policy.
We harbor elected officials who make decisions that clearly negatively effect the Arab world.

Thus, we deserve 9/11 and any US civilian attacks. You know as well as I that the US has *** around in that region establishing regime change for decades so when planes came flying into buildings those were legitimate targets.

The bottom line is: whatever government you elect, it WILL *** up, no matter what your interests are. For the simple reason that it has *** up, it is currently *** up and it will *** up in the future.

There is no such thing as a transparent and innocent government, you will be electing monsters either way. We finally elected someone from the left in France (last 4 elections were right) just to have the worst president of the latest republic. And what's next? Probably far right.

When it comes to politics, in the world we live in, it's literally same ***different smell.
