YES! And you could temp log off of FFXI onto POL! And people could search your name and it would say you were on POL...then they could send you a knock!

they replaced the temp log off to POL with shutdown, which is a better function imo but i miss the temp POL logout.

Better!!

Remember when Tarutura Rice sold for 17-20K a stack and you could make a living from garding ever 2-3 days easy while camping the cooking guild for a cheap stack to resale at AH?

When they used to have that messageboard on pol, with the newspaper or something i forget. You cold advertise your ls for recruiting on it and weddings and stuff. And when tetra master rooms were full of people =/

I remember the Inflation quite well.
I believe I started playing during the period, I was all so happy when I could stack anything (*cough* crystals *cough*) and sell for some sort of profit? (back then I still played on PS2)
Ahh those were the good days. still await for days of another Inflation :)
Maybe in FFXIV >.>

that was some good ***! crystal pepsi ftw. i think it f'ed with my head though, which could be why they took it off the market.



on an more important note.. remember when we actually had some damn good music in the 90's? where ppl weren't just writing or singing for a quick hit or buck? i'm talking bout music like Pearl Jam, Beastie Boys, Dre, r.e.m, etc.

i feel like a lot of the music and remixes these days are re-hashed, fried, and then disposed of and re-packaged to try to entice to us that it's really good music, when in fat it's just some idiot trying to make some money for him/her and his/her crew.

I remember leveling WAR as my first job, and using a sword and shield... I never learned about Jobs having specific "best" weapons until around level 30 lol!

Also remember the 30 minute run from Sandy to Valkurm. I didn't find out what an OP even was until about 2 years after I started playing! Maybe I just wasn't very social?
