Syria isn't worth the effort, never has been.
Once in a great while, there's something we can agree on.

I think America has a moral obligation to take in all those Syrian refugees. They can work at 7/11 with the other immigrants !

It's only to protect/keep the military base there. Meanwhile the U.S. has nothing there. Hell, even France has more a reason to monitor the situation.

Here's a great picture of Fionrina and Trump side by side.

Let the sparks fly: Carly Fiorina takes on Donald Trump

Huckabee has a greater chance at the nomination than Fiorina though. And Rick Perry has a better shot than him. So figure that one out.

Latest rankings, by current numbers, go like this:

30.5 Trump
20.0 Carson
07.8 Bush
06.8 Cruz
05.3 Rubio
04.5 Huckabee
03.3 Paul
03.3 Fiorina
03.0 Walker
02.5 Kasich
01.5 Christie
00.8 Santorum
00.8 Perry
00.5 Jindal
00.3 Graham

Bush is the establishment candidate.
Yet this article tries to claim Kasich & Rubio are the 2nd choices if Bush fails.
Jeb leaves a vacuum. Who fills it?

Also, aside from recommending that Margaret Thatcher should be on the $10 bill, Jeb also admits to smoking pot.

At GOP debate, Jeb Bush admits to smoking pot; sparks ‘Jeb Kush’ meme

Big numbers are scary
So, Washington Post's rebuttal is...that it agrees with WSJ?

Quote:
The answer isn’t quite so dramatic: while Sanders does want to spend significant amounts of money, almost all of it is on things we’re already paying for; he just wants to change how we pay for them. In some ways it’s by spreading out a cost currently borne by a limited number of people to all taxpayers. His plan for free public college would do this: right now, it’s paid for by students and their families, while under Sanders’ plan we’d all pay for it in the same way we all pay for parks or the military or food safety.

That's not disagreeing with the price tag there....Doesn't matter who pays for it, the price tag is still $18 trillion dollars, which is what the WSJ is stating. The article did not say that Sander's economic plan will increase the national debt by $18 trillion, it's saying that his plan is going to cost $18 trillion.

Reading is hard for people it seems like...

It's a high estimate of 18 trillion over 10 years, a more realistic estimate is 12-15 trillion. Considering the US will spend over 40 trillion in the next 10 years regardless of spending changes and Bernie's proposals replace a chunk of current spending, it's a pretty modest actual cost. In fact, it would cost less per year than we currently spend on war to give every person in the country free healthcare and education.

Sure, if you assume that we stop paying for that $40 trillion expenses.

Unfortunately, your "proposed" $12-15 trillion (we got to look at realistic numbers, and governmental spending has almost always reached the high end, so $18 trillion is a more accurate number than your $12-15 trillion) is on top of the $40 trillion we already spend. How would you like it if your bills increased by 40% with no plausible increase in earnings?

You really have no idea what words mean. The WSJ article is a bunch of doom and gloom because the one proposal he has actually published is the public college program which is paid for with a .5% tax on stock market speculation. Pretty easy to figure out why a WSJ editorial would be against that. Stop misquoting me, I've told you before, and I won't again.

She was CEO of Hewllett Packard.

She lost 56% of its stock value, forced a disputatious merger, laid off over 30,000 American workers who's jobs were subsequently offshored, and was fired. When the firing was announced HP stock jumped 10%.

Carly Fiorina's Business Record Is At Least As Bad As Donald Trump's
"You couldn’t pick a worse non-imprisoned CEO to be your standard-bearer."

If this woman is anywhere near the ticket there will be happy cries from dems of "LOOK! A Republican 'job creator!'"

Just because you don't like an article doesn't mean it's doom and gloom.

Also, that tax will just redefine speculative markets to bypass it, so that tax would be uncollected.

Ffxi's very own libertarian comes out feeling the Bern. In what universe are Bernies proposals "modest"?
