Mead is the fast lane to a hangover.
This forum is a metaphor for life.
We're all hate and stupid ideology until you bring in the booze.
Then we're all talking about booze.
Hey I love everyone, I argue to save and grow everyone's souls.

Thor's Hammer is also great. A shot (or so) of mead in some tasty beer. Can't remember which one Mil liked the best Isn't there a thread dedicated entirely to booze? I don't have a problem with it being discussed here either way, as it's one of the only times I see this group discussing something without ripping each other apart.

I like good whiskey, but I'm not going to try and get drunk off it. Getting mead around here is difficult, you've gotta go to specialty wine stores for it and it isn't exactly what they're advertising.
Im excited for the weekend. My friend is flying in and bringing two cases of Zombie Dust with him. Never had it and beer advocate rates it 100/100 for an APA (American Pale Ale).

I mean when you're friend brings over a bottle it's a wine bottle and you can't really just save the rest for later. Either that or I'm just an alcoholic and can't remember. The local winery scene is pretty prominent in Pennsylvania and among the things some of them put out is mead. One of the places I worked at in the US sold Vixen, a sparkling shiraz, that became super popular. But then GA changed an import rule and it became exceedingly difficult to acquire. Something like you could only purchase wines already vetted from US states. So, we had to have it delivered in AL and then brought to GA. Icewine also nice to try at least once. But finding a good one can be difficult. Ragnarok.Nausi said: » Yeah but mead is carbonated isn't it? Apparently it can be both.

Oh it is deserved. The Kentucky bourbon stout (KBS), also a 100 is heavenly as is their Canadian breakfast stout (CBS). Ragnarok.Nausi said: » Apparently it can be both. I was going to say, yeah. I don't think it "normally" is but my mom gave me a bottle of mead from one of the aforementioned regional wineries that had some fizz to it, iirc. Ragnarok.Nausi said: » Apparently it can be both. Could be interesting. Never had carbonated mead. Didn't even know mead could be carbonated.
You can carbonate most liquids.
I wonder where the line gets drawn, someone give me something to carbonate! It's like a commercial break, merry talk about booze for a few pages then news start rolling in again and everyone goes back to their debate chair.

I never thought I'd say this, but maybe we need more commercial breaks. They are truly enlightening. Speaking of light, don't you wish you had a light that you could rub on anything? And the hipsters drank Stag. There was even a local bar that had it on tap. |
