I asked a much more nuanced question dealing with the chain of command and information lines in government and governmental-sponsored (official or clandestine) organizations. I haven't watched any in a long time. But when I did it was only a few. FMA (all the original + movie, only a few episodes of Brotherhood), Inuyasha (just when it was on after FMA), and Ghost in the Shell (first series or w/e it was called). Only ones I could get into. Leviathan.Chaosx said: » I haven't watched any in a long time. it's from an anime called "My Bride is a Mermaid" probably not the right thread for a detailed discussion of it.... For an old fart, you certainly like anime Nik...

Well after a while somebody had to, as he was popping jelly beans and drooling and his cronies were all in jail or otherwise preoccupied with their legal defenses... Obama claims Global Warming is a "serious" thread against national security
Quote: President Obama will highlight his view that climate change is one of the most significant military threats to the United States and the world in a speech Wednesday. Obama will argue in his address to graduates at the United States Coast Guard Academy that the fight against climate change is a fight for global peace and against the conflicts that lead to war, according to a White House preview of the remarks. “I am here today to say that climate change constitutes a serious threat to global security, an immediate risk to our national security, and, make no mistake, it will impact how our military defends our country,” Obama will tell the new Coast Guard officers. “And so we need to act — and we need to act now.” A White House official said the speech will demonstrate that climate change “poses immediate risks to our national security, contributing to increased natural disasters and resulting in humanitarian crises, and potentially increasing refugee flows and exacerbating conflicts over basic resources like food and water.” Also Wednesday, the White House is releasing an 11-page report on the national security implications of climate change, aggregating information from various federal reports on the subject. Obama has highlighted security implications of climate change in recent months to drum up more support for his efforts to invest in climate adaptation and reduce greenhouse gases, including a landmark regulation to limit carbon emissions from power plants. In addition to the international problems that global warming can cause, Obama has argued the effects threaten military facilities and readiness. The White House said in February that climate change threatens more people than terrorism. Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.), in his infamous snowball speech, chided Obama for comparing global warming to terrorism. Hey, got to go to war against something, right? Can't be "War on Drugs" or "War on Poverty," but instead, "War on Global Warming/Cooling" as long as the war costs trillions of dollars I'm in!
It already has, before the war officially started.
Just remember like all the other wars, it'll only make the situation worse.
War on drugs: cheaper, more potent, easy access. War on terror: More terrorists, more attacks, terrorists with much better weaponry, and terrorists easily able to recruit and get funding. Etc... Coicidentally, the war on drugs causes more terrorists, more attacks, criminals with better weapons, and easier cartel recruitment, funding and strongarming. It just doesn't all happen here, so if we're buggering up someone else's country, we don't care. We'll just *** when their refugees try to enter our country because of the problems we're making for them indirectly. *** that! I heard we have drugs on the ropes! just a few more battles to go...

I have: The negative effects of MMOs (NOT FPS's) ~ 10 pages A brief intro of neuroscience ~ 2 pages I should be done by Tuesday so have fun until then. I'll lurk by with perhaps an occasionally quip here and there though. Leviathan.Chaosx said: » The negative effects of MMOs (NOT FPS's) ~ 10 pages Leviathan.Chaosx said: » Negative effects of MMOs include the ideas of a hierarchical society where only the elite and leaders reap the rewards of the group in whole while the lower hierarchy suffers from constant infighting and warring with each other to get into the next level of the hierarchy.... You can also include the dependency of a stronger class to carry those who want to succeed over those who want to survive, and how people's ideas contract from reality and creates a society where independence is demeaned and dependence is lauded. Thanks man. Yeah I want to get into the game itself, with a somewhat similar thesis, but also the out of game culture as well. Botting, hacking, forums, etc. Can add a part about how it effects people's social lives and physical well being too (individually).
