Jaime Foxx made fun of Bruce Jenner trans community outraged !

http://www.cnn.com/2015/03/30/entertainment/iheartradio-awards-jamie-foxx-bruce-jenner-joke/

"We got some ground-breaking performances, here too, tonight," Foxx said. "We got Bruce Jenner, who will be doing some musical performances. He's doing a his-and-her duet all by himself."

There have been reports that Jenner, an Olympic gold medalist, plans to transition from male to female. However, Jenner has not spoken publicly about any such possibility.

Many television viewers took to social media to voice outrage. The hashtag #iHeartRadioMusicAwards rocketed to become a top trend.

"Jamie Foxx just made a terrible, disgusting joke about Bruce Jenner's rumored transition on this trash awards show," tweeted @laurennostro.

Police shot at an SUV after its driver used the vehicle to ram a set of gates at the National Security Agency’s headquarters in Fort Meade, Md., according to a report.

It’s unclear if anyone was injured in the Monday morning incident or why the person drove at the gates on the secure campus, some 22 miles northeast of Washington, D.C.

Photos from the scene show the damaged SUV and a damaged white police SUV, alongside an ambulance. NSA police are on scene investigating, WTTG-TV reported.

One photo shows a white sheet covering an apparent body lying on the roadway next to the damaged SUV. Another shows a uniformed man being taken into an ambulance on a gurney.

Romney, who still insists he isn't running, says he would have left Bergdahl in the hands of the Taliban. (And is still sounding like a candidate.)

Romney: I wouldn't have swapped for Bergdahl

Quote:
(CNN)Had Mitt Romney defeated President Barack Obama for the presidency in 2012, Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl might still be a prisoner to the Taliban in Afghanistan.

"I don't think I would have made the trade," the 2012 Republican presidential nominee said Thursday on NBC's "Today Show."

Bergdahl was charged Wednesday with desertion and misbehavior before the enemy, about nine months after he was freed by his captors after Obama agreed to release five Taliban prisoners from Guantanamo Bay. One of the prisoners had tried to contact the Taliban from his captivity in Qatar, according to a Director of National Intelligence report.

Romney said that while the U.S. military has a policy of "leave no one behind," the U.S. also has a policy of not negotiating with terrorists*. And Romney suggested the Taliban prisoners represented a threat and should note have been released.

Romney added that Obama should have consulted Congress before making the swap.

Romney briefly considered a third presidential run earlier this year but quickly bowed out, calling for a new generation of political leaders to take the helm and lead the GOP to the White House.

But would Romney consider the No. 2 spot?

"I don't think anyone wants to be V.P.," Romney said on NBC.
*He conveniently forgets that St. Ronald the President, not only negotiated with terrorists, he traded arms to terrorists for hostages.

Indiana's governor signs bill allowing businesses to reject gay customers
Awww, the final death cries of a dying movement. Looking forward to the first SCOTUS challenge and subsequent overturn.
Another false narrative. 24 other states have similar laws (Obama signed one himself when he was a legislator in IL), and there's also a federal law (remember hobby lobby and abortive contraception).

Have you read the law? Can you point out where it says discrimination against gays is allowed?

The difference between the law in Illinois and Indiana is that it ammended that law to not allow businesses to discriminate based on sexual orientation. The governor of Indiana specifically stated that it is not on his agenda to ammend the law in any such way nor would he.

The people in favor of the law specifically state that the main reason for this is so that businesses revolving around weddings do not have to cater to homosexual weddings and also so that people would not have to let a man into a woman's bathroom. It's specifically set up and marketed under those purposes and people have not been all that shy about it.

To be fair there are other laws out there like this already but this one comes at a time when this is a hot button topic and its taking a lot of heat and will continue to do so. It's hurting them a bit as well.

This is the only thing I've found on the text of the bill. Not sure if it's the whole thing or not. (CNBC says it is).

Quote:
Religious freedom restoration. Prohibits a governmental entity from substantially burdening a person's exercise of religion, even if the burden results from a rule of general applicability, unless the governmental entity can demonstrate that the burden: (1) is in furtherance of a compelling governmental interest; and (2) is the least restrictive means of furthering the compelling governmental interest. Provides a procedure for remedying a violation. Specifies that the religious freedom law applies to the implementation or application of a law regardless of whether the state or any other governmental entity or official is a party to a proceeding implementing or applying the law. Prohibits an applicant, employee, or former employee from pursuing certain causes of action against a private employer.

Eh, it's just an opportunity for liberals to rally their base over a false narrative of "Hateful murica is out do get the gays again". There is no text in the law that permits discrimination based on sexual orientation, only one that protects people practicing their religious freedom. If you want to argue that we shouldn't allow people religious freedom, by all means do so, but don't hide behind this BS when you do it.

Exit question, if you're part of a religion that believes homosexuality is wrong, what should you do? Just not go into business?

Before someone comes in an simply replaces sexual orientation with race, could you also give me an example of an active religion that thinks being born black is a sin?

The problem within your own post Nausi is that you say that nothing specifically in the bill says descriminate based on sexual orientation but in your next statement you pretty much state that is what the law can be used for. Do you not see that?

Personally I don't really care if people refuse others service for whatever reason unless its something like a utility company. Oh you're gay? No power for you. I also don't understand why you would want to give business to a person that pretty much hates you because of their religion and nothing else.

If your religion tells you to hate a specific group of people for no other reason than they are what they are then I just feel sorry for you. I'd say still go into business but get ready to be bashed or supported by consumers for the choices you make in how you run your business.

Im not quite sure how race became part of this discussion.

Edit: Also, whenever you start a business you start it knowing you're going to be governed by certain laws so you should probably take that into account before you put all that money and work into it.

When you go to pick out a wedding cake at a bakery you usually go in as a couple when you do it. Cake design and tastings and the such. When you're asked to put to grooms or two brides on top of the cake it becomes even more obvious than it already is.

Chick-fil-a owner doesn't support gay marriage but the business itself still serves to consumers that are gay.

It also doesn't always hurt a business. The baker in CO shut down his business and started it up again under some other classification and business picked up. some people support that kind of move.
