I understand it fully, however you need to look into sex and what its most primitive function is- which is reproduction. Your argument is essentially that humans are capable of denying an innate primitive trait and should therefor do so. The issue, after reflecting on it a little further, is that certain people think that attraction is the same as love, and therefor being gay or straight is not a choice but an instinct. That is not true because very rarely (so rare in fact that it should not even be considered) does two people fall in love in first sight. Love takes place after two people know each other and develop a relationship with each other. It is not instantaneous, it is nurtured and developed into something larger than both of them. You don't choose to be attracted to a person, but you do choose to develop a relationship with that person. That relationship is what determines if you are gay or straight. Homosexuality (from Ancient Greek ὁμός, meaning "same", and Latin sexus, meaning "sex") is romantic attraction, sexual attraction or sexual behavior between members of the same sex or gender.
Really King, if you want to get into semantic *** then you have to deal with this: The operative word here is "Or", meaning any one of these three criteria indicate homosexuality. If any one of those are not a product of conscious choice, then one must consider Homosexuality independent of voluntary choice. By your own words, Sexual attraction is not a choice. I don't know where you can go from here but if you want to arm yourself with the semantics card, be ready for it to be used against you. Accuses others of backpedaling; backpedals
Anyone know if there is a minimum age for state senate and congress?
I would google it, but I am in more of a forum mood atm. I have the solution, perhaps even the final solution... worry about your own sex life.

inb4 next topic is climate change

I have a plan it is to elect people smarter than me to figure out the world's problems.
If that doesn't work you can always move to Mexico. Masturbation tends to be the truest form of determining one's sexuality. Relationships with actual people (even fleeting ones) introduce all sorts of variables that may influence preference. When masturbating you're really just left with your own desires and preferences distilled to the most fundamental degree. I think this doubles back into Bisexuality as well. If you find pleasure in both sexes even before engaging with either physically, I think you've a good idea of which way you swing. Offline

If I'm not mistaken according to Kinsey no one is 100% straight or gay.

Bisexuality is a curious thing to me, and I have to wonder how people reach those feelings. I mean, it's so hard to clarify for me, because I wonder. Is it purely a sexual attraction thing? I mean, I am not sexually attracted to men. The limit of my views on other men is I see some of them and say, "man I wish I looked like that so I could be the object of desire for women everywhere", but they don't "do" it for me. At the same time, if I something happened to my wife and I went on to connect with another person the same way I connect with her, and they happened to be a man, I don't know how I'd feel about that. If a connection that close were present, I may very well consider letting inhibition go and see what happened. That said I've told my wife countless times she's not allowed to die before me anyhow, so while I generally am entirely for women's rights and equality, she'd better damn well listen to me on this topic. If everybody who said they'd move to Canada if (insert political candidate here) got elected were actually forced to follow through, we'd probably manage the U.S. population quite nicely.

Never mind the fact that it takes two people to be in a relationship, unless you also want to include rape into the mix. If a man forces himself on another man, that means that they are both gay? Or would it mean that one man is raping the other man, and neither are gay because there is no relationship (abet a very bad one during/after the event) between the two? Since, by your definition, requires a relationship between two people to be considered a heterosexual or homosexual, wouldn't the fact that the relationship is required be the defining factor in being gay or not? Since it is established that attraction can be a one-way street, and requires no action nor relationship, attraction alone should not define if a person is gay or not. Offline

I thought that attraction was determined by what actors and actresses are on TV ?

Sen. Ginny Burdick, the Legislature's most vocal advocate for stricter gun laws, said Thursday that the parents of Reynolds High School shooter Jared Michael Padgett should be held criminally responsible for the death of Emilio Hoffman. "Obviously, this family lost a child, too, but that doesn't change the fact that another child lost his life and another family is having to go through the worst possible thing a person can go through because a gun owner somewhere else didn't adequately secure his guns," Burdick said. "If those guns hadn't been in those child's hands, Emilio Hoffman would still be alive." Burdick, D-Portland, introduced bills in previous legislative sessions that would have made it a crime to endanger a minor by allowing access to a firearm. Under a similar bill introduced in the 2013 legislative session by Rep. Alissa Keny-Guyer, D-Portland, a person found guilty of that crime would have faced up to a year in jail, a $6,250 fine, or both. The person would also be banned from owning a gun for five years. The bills went nowhere. "I think it would help to have that there so people know, 'Oops, I'd better be extra careful or I will perhaps lose my gun rights,'" Burdick said. Padgett, 15, killed Hoffman, 14, with an AR-15 type of rifle owned by his family that he obtained after removing it from its secured storage place, Troutdale police said. "If a kid gets a hold of guns and takes them to school, those guns weren't secured," Burdick said. "Maybe they were thought to be secured or hoped to be secured, but they were not secured. These are weapons of war." After Burdick was quoted making similar comments Wednesday in an NBC News story, her office received dozens of comments as well as a death threat that was referred to the Oregon State Police, she said. Many supporters of stricter gun laws also contacted her office, she said. Burdick said she's confident that a bill to require background checks on nearly all private gun sales will resurface in the 2015 Legislature. Burdick also plans to speak with Keny-Guyer about reintroducing a bill to create the crime of endangering a minor by allowing access to a firearm. Is there a rule akin to Godwin's Law that states the longer a discussion on sexuality lasts the more likely rape will be brought up?
