Please tell me why you think he is a moderate. I read a couple of his cases and he doesn't seem like a moderate in his responses to me.
Also, when Mitch said that the Senate isn't appointing a replacement for Scalia, and Obama nominates somebody anyway, that isn't somebody looking to compromise, but somebody looking to embarrass Mitch. No leadership at all. Just vindictive, petty posturing.
Well what does he seem like to you after reading his cases? And the second paragraph is just folly, you really think the President isn't going to nominate a Supreme Court judge in February because a Senator who has no control over his caucus says not to? We have already been over this on this site.
He compromised and nominated someone that the GOP has been lauding for years. Its not petty, its not posturing, its doing his job. If he had nominated a hardcore liberal sure, you could call it posturing. But he didn't. Obama is on the moral high ground in every phase of this subject, there are zero openings to attack him here. You are trying and failing.
McConnell has nothing. He has fractured his party even more than it was previously, and he has left his comrades seeking re-election wide open to attack, including the Judicial chairman. One senator already broke from him, expect more to follow. And its only March, its going to be a long year for him.

Bismarck.Dracondria said: »ISIS at it again
Bombed a park after a football game in Iskanderiyah, south of Baghdad, and killed 30 people and injured 70 ***.
Bismarck.Dracondria said: »In Belgium they stopped 11 people from being able to enter the 2 nuclear power plants by withdrawing their passes after reports that the terrorists who attacked Brussels had plans for a dirty bomb
The two brothers (El Bakraoui) apparently spied on a researcher at Tihange. They had a camera outside his house to monitor his routine. Ok, now this is getting scary.
First it seemed like these thugs are just out for shits/giggles/blowing ***up. Now they are getting smart enough to infiltrate a nuclear power plant? I should start building a bomb shelter.....

They also lost their 2nd in command and future leader, current financial chief, as well as a bunch of guys in France.

That's why he's on my team!
Nobody would want to shoot Rav. But I will end up the most colorful of the group.

Police conducted a few raids as well and arrested about a dozen people connected to Brussels and Paris and shot one (in the leg) today, he was carrying a suspicious bag. Witnesses say there was gunfire and explosions in the area during the raid.

Well what does he seem like to you after reading his cases? Halfway between moderate and liberal. Not quite moderate, but not quite liberal like Obama/Clinton/Sanders.
And the second paragraph is just folly, you really think the President isn't going to nominate a Supreme Court judge in February because a Senator who has no control over his caucus says not to? Mitch seems to have the backing of the Republicans over this. Don't know where you get the "no control over his caucus" part.
But seriously, this is a slap in the face.
He compromised and nominated someone that the GOP has been lauding for years. A few Republicans do the GOP not make.
Obama is on the moral high ground in every phase of this subject, there are zero openings to attack him here. Nominating is not a moral issue. Sure, it's his job to nominate a Justice, but guess what, so it is the Senates job to accept/reject said nomination. And guess what, the Senate is going to say "apply again after November." Like they said a month ago.

Double wrapped? Interesting. That's how they make street tacos, at least here.
Double wrapped so the corn tortilla doesn't fall apart and make a mess over everything.

A few Republicans do the GOP not make. If only there was a better way to gauge Republican support. Perhaps a vote of some kind.

Why is this so hard for people to understand? Because it has nothing to do with the topic being discussed.
yeah you guys lost me...what the hell are we arguing about again? Obama nominated a reasonable candidate and Republicans acted predictably.

It's a good strategy. Corn tortillas are worlds better than flour, but they're more susceptible to structure failure from meat juices.
I use one per at home, but two is definitely a good strat for a taco cart!

*Gears up* The good kind of, "I would expect nothing less." Or the bad kind?
"I would expect nothing less, vile ruffian!" Or
"I would expect nothing less, brother!"
A little bit of both?

As for your original point, Merrick Garland is meeting with the Judicial committee's democrat Senators. Even though the Republicans will still vote no, the Senate is still doing what they would have done with any nominee, which is for the Judicial Senate committee to first interview the nominee before discussing it with the Senate body at whole. It does NOT matter if the whole committee is talking to Merrick or not.
Don't you even know procedures? Sorry King, the Republicans aren't going to vote. Nor schedule a hearing even.
If they were doing their job they would hold a hearing and then vote no. But they want either Hill or the Donald to appoint the next member of the Supremes. Personally I do NOT want a man who will talk about the size of his junk on national TV appointing a janitor let alone a judge.
For the record I think one (1) Republican senator met with Garland and 3 or 4 more are calling for hearings.
Also for the record I have said before that Obama should have recess appointed a respected, aged, screamingly liberal jurist.

So I went to see where my precinct caucus will be held. Some 80 miles away. This may have something to do with the lack of Democrats east of the cascade mountains. I miss Seattle where it was never more than a block away.

Two Palestinian men stabbed an Israeli soldier, one of them was shot dead immediately. The other man was injured on the ground and an Israeli soldier shoots him in the head in the middle of the street with no reaction from anyone else <_< He claims he felt he was in danger and acted in self defense
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tvBH671uoDE can see for yourselves how 'dangerous' the man was
Video from RT since Swedish one had some copyright thing
