The university VUB says they've received a 'specific threat' to one or more of their campuses

(The Dutch speaking media I follow hadn't reported on that at the time and I don't speak French, so don't follow French news.) That said, since the bombings seem to be confirmed suicide attacks it's very likely that they have already identified the culprits and that they're now searching their homes as well as the homes of associates that are on the radar of several anti-terrorist orginizations. Asura.Shiraiyuki said: » I didn't say it wasn't confirmed, I said I hadn't seen any official reports yet. It was something I saw on the news site here and it was reported by one channel so I thought I'd add that it wasn't confirmed. Sometimes the reports aren't accurate. They are also saying there could still be suspects alive and police neutralized a bomb belt that hadn't exploded at the airport. It seems one of the bombs had nails in it It's hard to interpret the meaning of Internet posts sometimes, I'm sorry.
That said, they are reporting the same here. They found a third belt that didn't go off so they are indeed suspecting a third culprit. yep they found alot of nails in victims in the hospital of Leuven (so chances are big nailbombs where used in zaventem airport).
but yeah we could have expected this after they caught abdeslam last friday (who was involved in the paris attacks)... . :/ news here is kinda limited. Heard like 30 people dead. an assault rifle found.
Any more news developments? so far it looks about 34 deaths and 180 wounded
entire brussel is on lockdown and the entire country is under terror threat 4 they are currently working on getting trains going again by 4pm our time. schools are staying close tomorrow but other then that not alot of news your missing really... they are looking all over for bombpacks seeying if there's maybe something they missed but I think it's over (looks that way anyway)... All we can do at this point is wait and see how the numbers rise, from what i gather they found 1 car with a bomb left in it at the airport wich they detonated but this was about an hour and a half ago... Apparently taxis etc are all free in case you need to go somewhere
also
http://deredactie.be/cm/vrtnieuws.english maybe you can find more info here you can't find anywhere yet (idk) I just put the news off. I just get sick whenever something like this happens These are the ones suspected of carrying out the attack and they're looking for the man on the right
Asura.Kingnobody said: » Point stands, you can't have good Tex-Mex without having it from Texas. Like you can't have good sushi without eating it in Japan. Or good Italian food without eating it in Italy (although I know a place in SA that comes close, actually decent).... Most of the fish from Alaska is factored by Seattle companies and Seattle's Alaskan fish is at least a day, if not three, fresher than Japan's. I wonder if this was in response to the police raids that were recently carried out and the arrest of one of the perpetrators of the Paris attacks.

Asura.Shiraiyuki said: » I'm not too worried about that Rua, yes, the right wing is getting a stronger presence here, but I do not see them take over as they won't get enough support to form a majority in most of the European political systems. Personally, I'm far more worried about the USA in that regard. All I saw yesterday was "Trump, trump, trump" when it happened. If anything, it would be Obama having learned from Trump... On topic of the Brussels attacks, I hope that Belgium doesn't react as poorly to this as the US did in 2001.

That makes no sense, but ok. Speaking of people who makes no sense.
Hi Pleebo. Odin.Slore said: » The religion of peace.... E L I G I O N O F P E A C E Oh wait I thought this was /pol/ There is no such thing as a "religion of peace"
It's all a marketing tool to bring in people who don't know better. Religion, by it's core, requires conflict. Good vs. Evil. Man vs. Beast. Us vs. Them. Religions have to have conflict in order to exist. I hope you're the only one who believes that.
Siren.Mosin said: » I hope you're the only one who believes that. Like I said before, Good vs. Evil, Man vs. Beast, Us vs. Them. They all have those same messages.... |
