Gonna say this again:
Bernie's plan only provides free tuition (which does not cover everything, such as room and board) at public colleges/universities (community and state colleges), as well as lowering the interest rates on student loans. Why not make it all free? Nobody has to pay for it anyways and you cannot get a job without a PHD anymore. It's only fair!

You do realize this won't happen cause Bernie won't be President ! Altimaomega said: » I know several people that dropped out of high school and make 40-60k a year. There is a crazy concept that no one understands. Not everyone should go to college.

Since we are asking for free stuff can we get a free FFXI subscription ? If Bernie mentions this at the next debate I may reconsider socialism.

You tax the rich and the businesses to provide for the masses. Yes, even provide entertainment. It isn't new, nor limited to socialism. In Classical Rome it was referred to as "bread and circuses." TLDR: Just 'cause you don't pay for it don't mean its free. Offline

How'd that turn out for Rome?
Altimaomega said: » How'd that turn out for Rome? Given that Rome fell because the aristocracy crawled up its own *** and stopped taking care of the lower classes, that might not be the retort you wanted to go with I would say it turned out really well for Rome.

No.. I mean.. I cannot stoop to your level of kindergartner arguments. One thing I've learned about arguing with a kindergartner. They just don't understand. It's not their fault, all you can do is advise and hope they grow up.
Altimaomega said: » Your statistics as always, are biased as hell. On average, earning potential goes up with education level. Duh. It's not even remotely arguable. My statement was refuting a ridiculous blanket statement in the first place. Nowhere have I ever said a higher education will not give you a better chance at making more money! I merely said a higher education IS NOT NEEDED to make a middle class living. Your own chart supports my argument and it doesn't even give information on people 25 and younger and self-employed OR small business! Biased! Offline

The Head mod JUST told you to stop... WOW! Probably won't matter though. Altimaomega said: » The Head mod JUST told you to stop... WOW! Probably won't matter though. I usually give a bit of leeway when it's an immediate response, and they might not have seen it. That said, you clearly saw it, and chose to take a cheap shot anyway. P+R is going to get a makeover in the coming days, so please look forward to it Right he was only talking to me, lol. Why do we need stats on people 24 and younger, how many people at that age are working full time salaried positions and making over the median income? Not including this demographic doesn't make it biased.
The chart shows people with less than a college education make less than the average income, so it doesn't support your argument at all. This is not hard. Offline

Silly me. Its not a cheap shot, its refuting your "argument" which is not really an argument at all. Pleebo posted a legitimate, predictable graph. If you want to try to show the average income of workers are aged 24 and younger, go ahead. But you can't just call it biased because you don't like the criteria and expect to be taken seriously.

I've shown how and why it is biased twice and you refuse to accept it. Not my problem.
I think Rome also fell because of lead in their drinking water which caused death, disease, and infertility. I don't remember if it was Rome that used lead as a sweetener of sorts or if that was something else in another empire.
