Stop immigration for 30 years? Paranoia is running rampant again.

Who'd have thought the "muh freedomz" crowd would be all fascist.

For better or for worse.

Here I was actually looking for a conversation and you respond with poetry.

I guess you'd let in all the terrorists then?

I'd not give into pure paranoia to institute fascist policies.

Who would have thought that those on the left would hate the country so much that they would want to import terrorists?

Ultimately, we didn't open our doors to Japan or Germany during WWII.

Ho ho! Yes, the US and the UK most certainly did for defecting physicists, chemists, engineers and some novelists and poets. Check that again!

Trump said he'll get with Bill Gates to close up that Internet:

"We're losing a lot of people because of the Internet and we have to do something. We have to go see Bill Gates and a lot of different people that really understand what's happening. We have to talk to them, maybe in certain areas closing that Internet up in some way.

Somebody will say, 'oh, freedom of speech, freedom of speech.' These are foolish people… we've got to maybe do something with the Internet because they are recruiting by the thousands, they are leaving our country and then when they come back, we take them back."

Funny how a useful skillset transcends all those pesky low level immigration blocks. Works the same with the scary 'Islamic' peeps who are highly skilled and meet a companies requirement for an open position.

Let us know when you support legal immigration.

By the way: Rewarding illegal immigrants by giving them automatic citizenship without question is not the same as supporting legal immigration.

They could let 0 or 100 million, it doesn't matter in regards to you as you've already lost.

The problem with immigration/migrants/refugees isn't terrorism or even crime. It's economics, as in cheap labor. It's in all forms of the job market now. It's cheaper to hire doctors, engineers, scientists, etc. from overseas than Americans drowning in debt.

Import terrorists? Don't make me laugh.
The terrorists most Americans should fear are the home grown extremists seething with rage right next door. You know, some guy hopped up on rhetoric who decides to shoot up a college campus.

For most Americans, unless you live in one of a handful of cities, you have little if anything to fear of Islamic terrorism. Rest assured, the terrorists aren't coming to Kansas City, KS. Because even the terrorists don't know where Kansas City, KS is. Or care.

Also, voting for the lesser of two evils as an excuse for voting Trump is hilarious. The guy has nothing of value except platitudes and promises he can't possibly hope to deliver on. Trumps rhetoric resonating with so much of the GOP is proof positive of how bigoted this country really can be.

Why not make a stupid comment about Asians and go for the full house? Since the GOP has gone full blown racist.

Well, after the CA shooting, you can't say that immigrants aren't terrorists anymore.

But the economic issues you stated are part of the reason we should put a moratorium on immigration for 30 years or so. Importing a lower class is great for electing democrats and collapsing the welfare system, but it's not much good for anything else.

I'd say short to medium. Long term, in theory, shouldn't be a problem. Depends if all the little problems causing the bigger problem ever get fixed or if they just keep implementing broad policies that just make things worse.

Is this your go-to retort? Do you think if I say zero I support your radical proposal? I don't. How many active terrorists have entered the country through the immigration process? Can you provide any numbers?

I'd have to look at the statistics, but that's just one event. Otherwise you could easily say that all autistic people are terrorists after Newtown, for example.

FBI says top terrorist threat are sovereign citizens. Home grown extremists who believe the US gov't is invalid and live by their own rules which includes not paying taxes, ignoring the law and overall trying to co-opt all the protections of being a citizen without any of the costs.

Guess which group makes up the majority of sovereign citizens?
