There's only a handful of politicians I know of who would sooner face backlash for telling the truth than lie out of convenience and most of them have lost their jobs for it. Fair enough, but there are varying degrees of honesty, and even if all politicians lie not all of them make an obvious habit of it. I've said this in the past, but just because politicians are known for lying doesn't mean we should let them get away with it. We call out the opposing side but rarely hold our own people responsible, and that just perpetuates the cycle. If my constituents don't care, why stop? I just need to rally my troops, insult the competition, convince some independent voters, and boom. My reign of corruption continues and there's no incentive to ever change. That's the only way libs can rationalize voting for her, to equate lying about terrorism to something like lying to your wife when you tell her she hasn't gotten fat. Could be worse.
She could eschew scientific fact because of religion and feels. YouTube Video Placeholder Fun times! I don't think Hillary is anyone's first choice, save for maybe some feminists who are only focused on gender. What she is, is a moderate mascarading as a progressive and electable. Which is miles ahead of extremists mascarading as moderates or true progressives that just aren't electable. A picture is worth a thousand words. EDIT: You really think she's a moderate? She's a radical disguised as a LIAR. Ragnarok.Nausi said: » A picture is worth a thousand words. EDIT: You really think she's a moderate? She's a radical disguised as a LIAR. Ignoring the ***she's cooked up since Sanders started getting attention, yeah, she's a moderate. She's buddy'd up with Wall Street, favors free trade, pro-guns, etc. Really, the only progressive topics she's been consistent on over the years are choice and the environment. There's a Brazzers meme in this hearing somewhere, I just know it.
AT LEAST SANDERS IS HONEST ABOUT BEING A SOCIALIST
Someday Jassik, the GOP will be forced to abandon the failing strategy of character assassination and actually go after her policies. Of course it will probably be too late by then.

Do other countries do this? Sit and make a spectacle of each other on TV in hopes that one of them will be put in a leading position?
Here they actually talk about their politics
They're far less entertaining though Anna Ruthven said: » Do other countries do this? Sit and make a spectacle of each other on TV in hopes that one of them will be put in a leading position? I know several countries have begun to complain about their unreasonably long campaign seasons. Sometimes lasting 4 months! Yeah. But we don't have the debate deathbattle.
Usually it's just the various congresspeople and senators ripping each other on tv, the party leaders usually just prepare themselves a monologue and then go one at a time with pre-decided questions and never openly talk to each other in front of the public. I think having your opponent killed is the popular thing in Russia.

Obviously an opinion piece, but it raises some good points.
NY Times - Effect of welfare on the poor. she would be she would be anything if she thought for one second it would help her get elected. she doesn't have any positions, or morals, or scruples... or soul... or anything else. she would eat her grandbaby on live tv if you promised her the white house for it Caitsith.Shiroi said: » We have a Poutine festival here You have my support. This oddly enough is her only qualifier for running for office. She's a liar above everything else, so you really cannot vote for her based on any position she's taken This ultimately means her supporters are entirely sexist. They want a woman in the white house and they don't care about anything else but that. |
