Well at least this Huff Post thread finally got some much needed action.
I didn't thoroughly back read enough, but did any mention how Indiana is changing the law? They didn't say they were changing the law yet. All they've said is that they are working on clarifying what the law actually is.
Arkansas didn't get theirs signed into play because Walmart told the governor not to.
Georgia stopped theirs because an anti-descrimination ammendment was added and they wouldn't pass it like that. Just this once I'll cite something that's not from the Huff Post.

I think we had something similar to that where I live. It was a bunch of hippies that started a "cult"/church that wanted to get tax exempted status to smoke pot.

Happened years ago they probably formed their utopia in the next best place a Phish concert. See hippies are not good at following through. They come up with ideas they get stoned and forget them later.

In 1964 ('63?) there were two separate but related Supreme court decisions. (Too early in the AM for me to search these.)
The first upheld the Native American Church's right to use the peyoteway ceremony on the grounds that the ceremony had been documented in the 1880s, and was undoubtedly far older than that. Peyote became illegal much later.
The second denied Timothy Leary's Neo American church the use of LSD as a sacrament because the church had been formed and the sacrament declared after LSD became illegal.
Rastafari dates to the 1930s, perhaps before marijuana was illegal in this country but certainly well before it was illegal in Jamaica.
