Well at least this Huff Post thread finally got some much needed action.
I didn't thoroughly back read enough, but did any mention how Indiana is changing the law? They didn't say they were changing the law yet. All they've said is that they are working on clarifying what the law actually is.
Arkansas didn't get theirs signed into play because Walmart told the governor not to.
Georgia stopped theirs because an anti-descrimination ammendment was added and they wouldn't pass it like that. Just this once I'll cite something that's not from the Huff Post.
Quote: Indiana's Republican legislative leaders have unveiled changes to the state's new religious objections law that has faced criticism it could allow discrimination against lesbians and gays.
The amendment to the Religious Freedom Restoration Act released Thursday prohibits service providers from using the law as a legal defense for refusing to provide services, goods, facilities or accommodations. It also bars discrimination based on race, color, religion, ancestry, age, national origin, disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or United States military service.
A conference committee must discuss the proposed changes to the law, and both the House and the Senate will need to approve them before they can go to Gov. Mike Pence.
Pence called for changes to clarify the law Tuesday in response to an uproar fueled by discrimination concerns. Indiana lawmakers announce proposed religious law changes

I think we had something similar to that where I live. It was a bunch of hippies that started a "cult"/church that wanted to get tax exempted status to smoke pot.

Happened years ago they probably formed their utopia in the next best place a Phish concert. See hippies are not good at following through. They come up with ideas they get stoned and forget them later.

You don't need to start a church. There is one.
The Rastafari movement.
Here is the kicker.
In 1964 ('63?) there were two separate but related Supreme court decisions. (Too early in the AM for me to search these.)
The first upheld the Native American Church's right to use the peyoteway ceremony on the grounds that the ceremony had been documented in the 1880s, and was undoubtedly far older than that. Peyote became illegal much later.
The second denied Timothy Leary's Neo American church the use of LSD as a sacrament because the church had been formed and the sacrament declared after LSD became illegal.
Rastafari dates to the 1930s, perhaps before marijuana was illegal in this country but certainly well before it was illegal in Jamaica.

Pleebo clearly condones threatening people with death in order to get his way. Pretty disgusting... CLEARLY
And it will never cease to amaze me that the people frothing at the mouths on the other side of the fence don't realize that hate is the very thing they're using as a weapon against it. A-yup. Both sides are equally bad here. Another deep thought with Ravael.

When Walmart becomes a voice of reason, you really need to reevaluate your opinions, lol. (HB1228 is Arkansas' version of Indiana's law.)

Keep combating my deep thoughts with your knee-jerk reactions. Who knows, some day you might actually come up with an argument that isn't a copy/paste of the prevailing opinion of the mob-mentality Left.

Well can I at least read a post where you say that the people who own the business shouldn't be afraid to keep their doors open from threat of violence?

That's your only tactic now it seems. False equivalence. Rightfully calling a someone a bigot for their bigoted beliefs isn't the same as endorsing outright discrimination no matter how much you need it to be in order to dispel the notion that modern conservatives are on the wrong side of this issue over and over and over again.
Well can I at least read a post where you say that the people who own the business shouldn't be afraid to keep their doors open from threat of violence? I've never endorsed violence for the sake of progress so I don't feel the need to placate you.

Discrimination is what it is, you're just touting your brand of it as acceptable and others as unacceptable. You are morally illiterate.

When Walmart becomes a voice of reason Walmart is far from the voice of reason. Go look at the wage thread.

An evil corporation supporting a stance you support? Quite the conundrum, isn't it?
Do you keep supporting your stance and be labeled an evil backer of an evil corporation, or do you reject your stance because an evil corporation supports it?

...I can disagree with some of their positions and not others? It doesn't have to be so binary, and the fact that you view it that way isn't surprising.
