And it will never cease to amaze me that the people frothing at the mouths on the other side of the fence don't realize that hate is the very thing they're using as a weapon against it. This country is not made only for the religious and should not be governed as such. It does not infringe upon a persons personal beleifs. I don't get how serving at a wedding is any different than serving them in general either. Do you draw the line when you see a gay married couple walk into your establishment? The whole thing seems ridiculous anyways. So using death threats is perfectly acceptable as long as the cause is just? Shitting on this family in fact such a cause? The only way this works is that everyone has a right to refuse service per if it violates their beliefs. No death threats are not ok. According to you though they should be as long as there are no actions taken. I mean wasn't it you yesterday that was talking about how all speech is protected? You can spew hateful speech but appearantly if its against your cause then you like to play the victim lol... Talk about hypocrisy. You're not for free speech nor do you understand your rights provided to you by the constitution. You're another person that would just like to do what they think is theirs to do and damn everyone else. Do these people deserve death threats or are they even necassary? No. Honestly it hurts the cause more then it helps. Is it ok for people to avoid this establishment like the plague now and make it known why because of the business practices of the establishment? Most certainly. Lakshmi.Flavin said: » You're not for free speech nor do you understand your rights provided to you by the constitution. If it were then free speech would be based on the feelings of those hearing the speech not the words of the speaker.
What is the specific threat conveyed through "***"? Bahamut.Ravael said: » Lakshmi.Flavin said: » I don't get why you guys have a problem with this anyways. If a company came out and said it was pro abortion and then people who were anti-abortion came out and said they no longer wish to support this business publicly or posted on Yelp would you have an issue with it? Nope. If the business was shut down due to intimidation and threats sparked by a sensationalist, cherry-picking media, then I would be in full support of the company, though. I condemn such tactics when they're coming from my side of the fence too. It's a novel idea, you guys should try it sometime. As KN said to me thanks for lumping me into something I was not a part of. Ragnarok.Nausi said: » Scaring someone isn't threatening them. Thanks for lumping me in there bub. I'm just pointing out the hypocrites as they are. Many have not used hate filled rhetoric to make their case and not all of the hate filled speech has been from the same side. I apologize for seemingly lumping you into the group as well. Your words scare me everyday. You think you should be forbidden from saying them? Why not?
Apparently the word bigot isn't an offensive term, it's an apt term. Let the floodgates open on that one.

I never said anything about the people making threats or the business refusing service or anything of the sort. Again, I have been very quiet on the main issue at hand. Offline

Arkansas didn't get theirs signed into play because Walmart told the governor not to. Georgia stopped theirs because an anti-descrimination ammendment was added and they wouldn't pass it like that.
