All of a sudden (no changes by me were made)

My macros are malfunctioning.. one piece of gear will not change... I hit a macro to ws, and change back, the bottom item will stay in ws gear.

I change the order, and now legs won't change as they're on the bottom...

You guys are always tweaking stuff and I just can't keep up with the changes, I'm not tech savvy enough to know what changed and why it's not working all of a sudden.

Gearswap or Spellcast?

If Spellcast, you are SOL.

I'm OLDSCHOOL they're scripts

/console exec thfws.txt etc.

I cannot figure that spellcast/gearswap ***out for the life of me.

I was JUST using my macros an hour ago in salvage, now I'm trying to do something else and the feet -will not- change, unless i put them at the top, then the legs will not change.

I actually have the same problem. Ended up having to split some of my macros into 2 to get them to work.

If you use a script macro, you have to have all gear associated with the macro (not just the piece(s) not working) in your inventory. If you have some in wardrobe and some in inventory, you may experience the issue you're having.

There's a current problem with using the game macros to swap gear from both inventory and the wardrobe at the same time. There was a message on the official forums, I think, though I don't remember where exactly. It was suggested that any gear changing macros you use either only use inventory, only use wardrobe, or include a /wait in between, until they get it fixed.

It's got nothing to do with the wardrobe, I'm only using it for accessories and those are swapping out fine. the feet are actually in my inventory...

Like I said, they worked fine up till an hour ago, I changed nothing, not job, not gear, not inventory, nothing.

I already use a wait in my texts as well.

I was having the same issue and took out all my stuff from wardrobe and everything was working fine. Not sure what you guys can do if you're having the issue even after doing that.

But why did it suddenly, as in the last hour stop working?

This is the literal macro I use;

input /equip range "Raider's boomerang";

input /equip ear1 "Steelflash earring";
input /equip head "Whirlpool mask";
input /equip ear2 "Bladeborn earring";
input /equip neck "Asperity necklace";

input /equip ring1 "Stormsoul ring";
input /equip body "Manibozho jerkin";
input /equip ring2 "Stormsoul ring";
input /equip hands "Pillager's armlets +1";

input /equip back "Canny cape";
input /equip waist "Elanid belt";
input /equip legs "Nahtirah trousers";
input /equip feet "Vanir boots";

input /echo Exenterator

pause 1

input /weaponskill "Exenterator" <t>

pause 1

input /equip range "Raider's boomerang";

input /equip ear1 "Dudgeon earring";
input /equip head "Felistris mask";
input /equip ear2 "Heartseeker earring";
input /equip neck "Asperity necklace";

input /equip ring1 "Epona's ring";
input /equip body "Thaumas coat";
input /equip ring2 "Rajas ring";
input /equip hands "Pillager's Armlets +1";

input /equip back "Canny cape";
input /equip waist "Patentia sash";
input /equip legs "Quiahuiz trousers";
input /equip feet "Plunderer's Poulaines";

input /echo Thief TP

All I can think of is you recently moved gear around in the wardrobe. When I was having the issue, it was only 1 piece of gear that was causing my macros to not work. (I talked about my issue more here)

As Mote said, though, it's hopefully just a temporary issue.

Don't know, but it is an issue with vanilla FFXI rather than windower.

Nothing, literally nothing changed. No organizing, no shifting, no selling, no job changing. Just all of a sudden *poof* magically broken. This kinda thing happens to me all the time u_u;;

Could be worse. You could have started a Salvage II gotten to the Gear Ramparts just as your cable company decides to upgrade the wires leading from the cable box to your house.

It's just frustrating to have this kinda ***happen, and have no idea what happened, like if I had done ANYTHING i could just go back and undo it, but it goes from working > afk > broken... *sadness*

Perhaps you should try updating each /equip line with a 0 or 1 depending on where it's located (0=inventory 1=wardrobe), and see if that fixes it.

This happened to me when doing bard swaps the other day. I simply restarted the game and swaps worked again. Was only a temporary glitch for me. A ls member has the same issue resolved by game restart.

A restart has not fixed it. Q_Q

Just as suddenly as the malfunction happened, now they're fine. Again nothing changed... and like magic, they're all good (thf at least).
Weirdest ***goes on, I swear.
