OK im a 97 fisheman and got the ki and reagent to try and make me a fishermans stall. My synergy skill is 64. I keep getting the message:
please be aware that certin items are not suitable for use as synergy ingredients.
What am i doing wrong??

Keep in mind the Synergy skill needed is Adept 81-90 and being lvl 64, you will need assistance from a higher lvl Synergist.

the ki is the fisherman emblem.
btw got a tell on my server and the guy/girl told me he could make one when he was 70 synergy and 90 fishing, so ill try to get there and try it again
and hope the skill can be uped to 90 cos it is 80 now :)

gar, the fisherman's emblem is a exclusive item, that you'd trade to the furnace. Not a KI. Maybe that is ur problem. The emblem costs 15,000 guild points.

FFXIclopedia lists the recipe as an adept Synergy recipe that requires Veteran fishing. If that's true, you'll likely have to gain another skill point in Fishing and turn in the guild item to gain Veteran status.
I figured it'd be something like that. I've never trained Synergy before so I was just taking a stab in the dark anyway.
His OP states his fishing skill is 97... That should be expert rank.

Gah finaly found out what i did wrong. After 20 times reading the stuff needed i found out i was using the wrong mats >.<
